September 12-14, 2008—Sacramento, California.
The Towe Auto Museum is proud to host "Mr. Ford's Legendary Model T: Car of the Century," commemorating Tin Lizzie's 100th anniversary. The opening weekend will celebrate the historical, technological and legendary importance of the Model T Ford. Friday evening, enjoy a VIP reception celebrating the first 100 years of the Model T and official opening of the Museum's Centennial Exhibit (exhibit to continue through December 2008). The evening will consist of a social hour with complimentary wine provided by Ironstone Vineyards and hors d' oeuvres, music by Dave Moreno on the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ, and a short presentation and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Saturday events will include a complimentary continental breakfast and a variety of presentations by historical and technical speakers, including keynote speaker, Mike Skinner of the Henry Ford Heritage Association. Presentations will focus on the technical, historical, and social significance of the Model T Ford, allowing both the Model T enthusiast and the general public to celebrate this legendary car.
Saturday night experience an era fashion show and special period entertainment along with a catered banquet and special presentation by Robert Kreipke, Corporate Historian, Ford Motor Company. Close the special weekend with Model T games (gymkhana) performed by the Sacramento Valley Chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America and a River Delta Tour of historic, Victorian homes and wineries, and the last state-operated ferries in California.

September 25-28, 2008—100 & Going Strong committee are celebrating Centenials in the Twin Ports. Many activities are taking place, starting on Thursday the 25th at 6 p.m. Slide presentation and book signing by Chuck Frederick, author of "Leatherheads" at the Winter St. depot 1615 Winter St. in Superior. Friday Sept. 26, dinner with guest speaker Pat Dorin, noted railroad historian and Ragtime music at Elks Lodge 1503 Belknap St. 5pm social, 6pm dinner.  Sat. Sept. 27, 9am-5pm Harvest festival at Winter street Depot along with bands and a Ice cream eating contest. Also on Sept. 27, the Twin Ports Mustang and Ford Club Pre-war car show from 10am-2pm with featured car the Model T, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Model T pre reg. at $5 and $10 day of show. 2:30pm to 5 p.m. cruise from car show to Davidson Windmill and finnish Eskolin log home on Hwy. 13.  Sept. 25th - 27, Model T historical display and see the other exhibits of the Douglas County Historical Society at 1101 John Avenue. During the weekend, from Sept. 26th - 28th local museums will offer a $1.00 dollar off admission, places to visit are Glensheen Mansion in duluth, Fairlawn Mansion as well as the Firehouse Museum and the S.S. Meteor the only whaleback ship left in the world, in Superior, Wis. The Karpeles Manuscript museum will feature "American Authors of the 19th century" located at 902 E. 1st in Duluth.
September 20-21, 2008—The Duluth Transit Authority will have their display on their 125th anniversary at the Winter street Depot during the weekend event. The Lake Superior and Mississippi Railroad will do train rides with $1.00 off admission. The Superior Public library will have artist Carl Gawboy do an interpretive tour of the library's murals painted by Gawboy. Library is at 1503 Tower Ave. The Superior Antiques and arts depot will be doing a flea market on the weekend before on Sept. 20th and 21st, and will have in store specials and a map contest that starts on the 1st of Sept.
