My avatar is our 1914 Touring. I've been interested in Model T's since I was a kid and after having a couple of black radiator versions, I was able to get this one in 1989. The top two photos date from 1989 and the bottom (avatar) is recent. I have several Model Ts now but I'm thinking this one will still be with me when all the rest of my collection is gone.

Since this photo was taken, I finally got around to restoring the horn to its correct black and brass configuration.

My current Avatar is my first Model T - a 1922 Touring that are later rebuild as a Fordor on a local danish coachbuilder.

Mine is my car as Derrick Pang took its picture after we completed building the top for it, just had to drive it down the street to see if it was a different experience with a top or not. It was, every little noise was more noticeable than before, I heard engine noises I never knew my car made and it really did keep the summer sun off you quite well. Of course Derrick just had to drive my car too (he cant resist the desire to drive anybodies car he's around, so I let him drive it up the street and back...the first thing he said when he got back was how quiet my car ran and that there was hardly any vibration at all, even at idle, I told him it was because from the front axle to the rear axle everything in between had been balanced and now with the beads in my tubes, she runs as smooth as a modern car, not as fast, but just as smooth.

It’s my first Model T. I got on New Years Day 1997 and have enjoyed it every year since then. Including the 13 it took to get it to look that way.

Mine is simple, Its my 14 the day I pulled it out of the barn after sitting through 1 earthquake, several generations of cats and being used as storage for pipe fittings, gunny sacks and garage sale treasures. The barn blew down in a rainstorm 2 years later. The earthquake shook 1/4" of dust over it.

Okay, I updated my avatar yet again. In March of 2000, our Model T Club was scheduled to be in the St. Patrick's Day parade, but when we woke up, it was snowing heavily and had been accumulating for a while. Everyone phoned around and the decision was made not to go. I started thinking about the fact that we had been in the first ever St. Patrick's Day parade in St. Louis and had never missed one since. I decided to give it a shot. Made it to downtown (with a stop at Autozone to buy a squeegee because the snow kept building up on my windshield). Not only was my car the only Model T in the parade, it was the only antique car of any kind — all the other clubs had also decided to skip the parade.

The first parade was in 1971 and the Model T Ford Club of Greater St. Louis has been in all of them.

This was my first (of many) breakdowns, in our first T, a 1926 Touring, the first summer we drove it. Came home on a flatbed.

Our dogs are all rescues as well.

My Roadster had some missing "Bondo" on the turtle deck so I did my best to make it look like what a Farmer would have used in the 30's. It was supposed to be temporary but everyone liked it so I got lazy and the turtle deck is still in the attic!

Mine happened on one of the rare days that it actually snows here. I got up early knowing it wouldn't last long. I was sneaking out of the neighborhood and the fellow down the street snapped the photo. It was a lovely 32 degrees and I drove all over this side of town. This was before I rebuilt and added the top not that it would have made and difference, cold is cold. The tail lights are LED running on a separate 12 volt system I installed, I wanted to keep the 6 volt system original so the 12 volt system can be un-clipped and removed in about 20 minutes. It was a wonderful experience and I will treasure it always.

Well, mine's pretty simple, it's me in a '15 touring, much like my '16 touring (that is not yet finished) back in 2011 on a trip to Yosemite. On the old forum my avatar was a picture of Linda & I on the Delta Queen steamboat, back in 2008. So my avatar is a LITTLE more up-to-date.

I used the first picture on Facebook for many years, can’t remember where I got it, maybe poached it off the net.
The second picture is what I want to use but at 90x90 it is all out of proportion.

I used this pic and downsized it to work. It is a picture of my farther and me ( I'm about 18 mos old) about ten years before he started on the restoration of the 1924 touring he bought in 1948 at the age of 21. His plans was to put a v8 60 in it but never got around to it. On the Nat'l tour here in Kansas in 1991 he gave me the car. I hope to re-restore it all at the same time, in 2-3 years. I have a roadster I hope to have road worthy at the begging of summer and so will have a T to drive when this gets its due.

My old profile pic shrunk down to 90 x 90 was useless. So i had to come up with something else.

Forum members used to post their " thumbs up like" photos occasionally on projects they enjoyed and I wanted to create my own like. The black balloon was used to symbolize the most favorite color of the Model T. The string from the balloon pulls the thumb up. I used it kinda like a reward to bestow on people who were new to the club and for those who displayed progress on their T. Now it's just my avatar that many have seen before. I have not been online a lot the past year to really use it as a reward anymore.

My avatar? I went senile for a month in 2016 and thought I was gonna sell the new TT so was just going around clicking pics for a fellow, knowing I wouldn't get the amount of $$ I wished for. I looked at that pic of that old clunker that only a dad could love and suddenly knew his name.
Doors don't work, busted windshield, one eye, wrong radiator, one good tire and crummy hood. Goes by the name of Lucky.

If you can read mine (it’s kinda small) it is rather self explanatory. But the best part is, it is a brass plaque my wife had made to stick on our 1915 touring!

My avatar picture was taken at the end of July 2018 at a 90th anniversary of a nearby small town.

I was asked to bring an entry for the parade, so I trailered the car there.

My uncle, who was born and raised there, is riding shotgun with me.

He had a chance to ride in my cousin's early '70s 'Cuda but the back seat was small and it was a warm day so he jumped at the chance to ride with me instead.

I was on the Annual Scenic Tour with the Portland Regional Group of the Horseless Carriage Club last summer. The hotel we stayed at was on Ford Rd. Seemed like a good photo op, but it is kind of small for a avitar. I will probably change it.

She owned Ford Barn and Chevy Barn.

Then she sold out to Ryan.

My avatar is me in one of the 4 original Barris built Batmobiles. As a transporter, I get to see & drive some cool stuff! I will probably change it
though as it is too small to know what it is!

I lost my wife to cancer a couple of years ago. The cat was hers, he hardly bothered with me as Heather fed him. It was a little difficult for both of us when she passed, but now we rub along quite well. This is the original picture:

Here's a fun little exercise we do from time to time...over on the other automotive forum I'm on.

Give the story behind, reason, etc for your Avatar.

I'll start. Mine is my little rescue mutt Punkin. She's part wiener dog, part...who knows. We rescued her from the pound when she was a tiny little thing. She's smarter than some humans I know and hangs with me anytime I'm outside working on cars. Always has a great attitude. Stands all of one foot at the top of her head. Thinks she's 12 feet tall.

My daughter put a bandana on her head a while back and she looked hillarious, but she immediately came up to me with the look you see in the Avatar...a look of sadness and disgust...that seemed to say, "dad...get this ridiculous thing off me".

It gives me the giggles every time I see it.

Here she is, unencumbered by demoralizing headgear and with my daughter when we brought her home.
