I also primarily use FireFox. A couple of things I do when going on the computer is to first, 'open'/activate my anti-virus/malware application. This is before selecting FireFox as my internet connection. When FireFox is connected, there will also be a FireFox icon appearing in your 'shortcut bar'.... If you 'right click' on that icon, another menu will appear - Left click on "New private window". It will explain the protections it will do, while being open to the address you choose. (I will also go back and 'hoover' on that FireFox icon, then 'close out' the unsecured tab/window.) FireFox will automatically delete the 'cookies' when you close out from the secured window/tab.
