Carston made new seat from a touring car spring. He covered the springs with a good Mexican blanket. Cheap hot rod fashion. Carston also added foot man loops pop riveting them to the hood. Last time Rich and I worked on it we did a compression check. We found 1,2, & 4 were consistent but #3 was considerably lower. Put some oil in and did a wet check on 3 and it was about the same as the others, compression wise. We are thinking it needs a ring job. Are there oversized rings out there ...

Got together with Tim, Rich, Carston and myself got together and installed the new to us exhaust manifold and a high flow intake. Runs much better now thanks for the help gentlemen.

so we took nuthin’ Special to the pinewood derby today. Found out I have a warped exhaust manifold. No matter how I put it on it would not line up. Anyone have a good straight exaust manifold?
