Re: WTB Steering Column for 1912
Hi Greg: If you intend to drive this car, the later 5:1 steering is recommended. A 26/27 complete column is inexpensive, where this provides you with the 5:1 gears and the upper steering shaft parts. Any non 26/27 lower shaft is easily attached first with all thread, then welded and ground to the cl...

Re: WTB Steering Column for 1912
Hi Greg:
See my PM response. If this is to be a driver, a 5:1 ratio shaft is a safety must have. Cost is likely less than an original, and is a fully invisible retrofit.

Scott

Like you said Tim, 09, based on 2 hole front body mounts, no reinforcing plate in radiator, and scalloped cut rear apron. Dog ID a bit tougher.

Re: Gas line tee
Castings are no big deal. These would need to be drilled, and then ground and then polished. The level of work required could easily equal or exceed the modifications discussed here. Vendors could put this product out there, but assume these would short run batches, and therefore costly finished pro...

Thx Keith. Is there a Red hose resource preferred? Got some years ago,but hose looks pink? Color not a serious problem but rather like the Red.

Re: Gas line tee
Yep, that's that's the one Keith. Using a coil.spring to bend it vs. brake line bending tool. Pretty much same as Bruce's photo shows. Made the brakets some time.ago, so just about to solder it all up. Did you solder ferrules on your tube ends, and did you use hose clamps or not?

Re: Gas line tee
Hi Keith: Mine looks like the new one to the left above. Pretty much same approach, and really easy to do once you get to taking off material. As noted, I did have to punch the 1/4" clearance hole...I presume the barbed donor does not require this step. Now have to get sharp bends in the tubing for ...

Thanks. Someone sold these as repops, but name unknown. Repop as good as original for what I want, and cheaper is better. Don't have a lot invested in this.

Re: Gas line tee
I used a std 1/4 compression T, but found I still had to drill it thru...took a half hour to make. These, the clamps, and the square nuts could be a nice kit for some enterprising other. RV said he was planning to make the hardware...not sure if any were produced.

Yes. Even with thorough primer sealer paint, hickory wheels will soak up finish, where you may multiple touch ups.

I spoke with the late owners son who is selling this and the rest of what is a fairly sizeable collection. He comes across as car savvy, not pressed to sell, and not niave to give it away. He has been receiving offers, because mine was one of them. As to moving this to a resto project, agreed, this ...

Tires and tubes were trashed. Edges are good, and did not roll these around without the rubber protecting them.
