Re: early T-1917 wrench?

That early wrench is really early. Between that one and the later lightweight T1917 branded ones, there was another plain one, but is was not as chunky as the one in the photo. I have no idea when that change was made. Allan from down under. Allan, I was going through my T wrenches again today and ...

Thanks for the responses to my question about the wrench. It is always good to learn something new about Model T's, and in this case why the various 1917 wrenches that I have all seemed to need straightening! I too have tried to "fix" them by squeezing them in a vise to have a constant opening width...

I was going through my various Model T wrenches today, and noticed that one of the Ford ones appears to be an early version of a T-1917 transmission band wrench. It is shown in the photo next to a later more typical looking one. The opening widths match the other 1917 wrench shown It does not have a...

I believe that Ford stopped being a major sponsor a couple of years ago. Boeing took their spot, at least they did last year.

No more Model T rides being given there like when Ford was a major sponsor.

Last March I asked if people thought it was worth attending the "Celebration of Brass" at the Gilmore museum. Re: Doing things the hard way

I made one for our 1911 engine. I used a 1/4" (I believe) nylon rope cut to fill in the groove. I coated it with RTV all around and with the camshaft covered with Saran wrap, I centered and bolted the cover on. After curing, I removed the cover and Saran wrap and reinstalled the cover. Seems to have...

My wife and I are packing up to move to another house, and I stumbled onto this wrench that came with our 15 runabout when I got it a few years ago. It has a "M" on one side, which makes me think it could be a Mossberg tool, and "106" on the other. Two sockets in the horizontal section are a square ...

Last year when I was restoring our 1911 touring car, I discovered that one of the rear wheel spokes had a widthwise crack.
