Not likely stripped. More likely worked out due to no lock tab. Interference with the cover on the way out broke the cover. Not a big deal. Bendix likely usable with new screws (if necessary due to being bent) and new locking tabs (absolutely mandatory). Langs: https://www.modeltford.com/item/5023-4...

Brian my '19 runabout was successfully sporting 1950's vintage Riversides for several years after I purchased it. I though I bought one from Bob's some time back, but darn if I can find it now. I know I have it...just not where! It is now part of my future estate sale, so if you outlive me, be sure to look for it.
Anyone have one they'd sell?

I just did a search for "mouse" on this thread and found none. you may well have an exhaust obstruction since it seemed to run OK in the fall and after a winter sit, it's lame. Re: Charging System
A properly charged battery, a generator adjusted to about 5A (which is all you need or want), coupled with a voltage regulator added to notoriously lousy '26-27 ammeters will do exactly what you describe, and not necessarily indicate that the system is in any way deficient. If you wish to explore th...

Craig you are in good company. Not 1 in 100 have probably ever seen the rear wheel properly sealed. The rear hub takes the same seal as the front wheel (felt). There is a reason the hub is machined the way it is... http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/822076/911446.html?1541545002 Call it a seal, ca...

Cleaner than the rusted up stuff you find on Flea Market tables. Excellent bowl, (older) modern float material which appears to have never seen fuel, good pick-up tube, good looking main jet. Cast iron throttle lever, stamped steel choke lever with good spring. All complete with the exception of a m...

Steve the only thing I think anyone could discern from your photo is that it was cut from old-growth wood with super small growth rings. Old hickory is much different than new hickory. I'll bet that if you counted growth rings on your spoke, you'd be over 40 years in that one small piece and it may ...

So, exactly how long does it take wood to crack? After building a clock in 1975, and having moved to Wyoming in 2014, one of the wood panels in the clock split last year, 45 years after building it. I can tell you how long it took to crack: about 1/10 of a second. I am not saying it did, or didn't, ...

Sure Donnie Just got permission from Stan Howe to use one of his pictures. The intake swoops "out" sort of like an early "T" dogleg and has a built-in belcrank to actuate the throttle linkage. It also has a "slot" instead of a hole in the forward mounting position, since the bel-crank boss impeeds t...
