Re: Sunday armchair traveler

The 39th picture picture of the 15/16 muddy T was taken on my wife's grandfathers farm near Seward Ill. My son posted this picture on the forum as a guest quite a few years ago. I am glad to see it again. The only problem I have is the fact this car is not in my garage (only in a cleaner state)

Re: A Procedure for Stopping a Model T Engine

When I shut off my T I put the brake lever forward to relieve pressure on the spring and clutch pack, recently went to start it and forgot to pull the brake lever back----guess what --- got a free start and almost went through to garage door.

I have a great nephew who is one of those firefighters. Last I heard he was in the Columbia River area. A while back he was near Flagstaff. I have nothing but tremendous respect for this young man.

Re: How many of us ?

when I was very young I used to stand on the front seat and pretend I was driving my Dad's or grandpa's 1917 or the 1927 (both touring cars) I also can remember when my Dad sold them to a "junker" for $9.00 each for the war effort. My Dad often said how foolish he was at the time but he felt it was ...

Re: boring a T block

thats exactly what i was thinking. because its a A crank block, I think sleeving would be the best option. the block is in good shape except the bore has too much taper. I have no idea who did the A crank conversion since I bought the complete engine and transmission at an estate auction in 2000.

boring a T block

Can a T block be safely bored to .080 over or should it be sonic tested to make sure it has enough "meat" left to ensure it won't present a problem later on. The block presently has an A crank with 292 Y Block .060 pistons. I searched the internet and found that .080 oversize pistons are hard to fin...
