Re: Missed me by that much! or Upgrade your brakes

Hi Terry,
An interesting modification, I would love more info. Does pressing the brake pedal now also disengage the clutch or is your slider a completely separate system. Maybe a simplified drawing will do.

T2508X outer bearing

Does anyone have any experience with fitting these to the rear side shafts. I would like to know of the side / half shafts need any machining to make this bearing fit.

Re: Inside (original) oil line cleaning

Quickest access to the internal oil line is to remove the crankcase pan lower cover. Slip a flexible plastic or rubber tube over the end of the line and use compressed air to blow out the blockage. Also a good time to clean the pan cover, sludge tends to collect there.

Re: Modern Pistons/modern engine internals in Model T

I use 265 cubic inch small block Chevy pistons in my T. They are 3.75 inch bore pistons with off-center wrist pins giving more torque at low RPM. Minor machining required to the piston crown to the same shape as T pistons and bronze bushings to be made to compensate for smaller wrist pin size. The 2...

Fitting new glass

I am about to embark on fitting new glass to my 22 Runabout, the current glass appears to be normal plate glass and I want to replace it with safety glass. Can someone explain to me how the glass clamps attach to the filler blocks. On my car they are glued on and it appears that the screws have brok...

Re: Cushion spring gap

Thanks Mark. Apologies! That should have read .020 gap.Tapping the rivet makes it expand and will restrict cushion spring movement.

Cushion spring gap

The latest sets of KW points I have received have excessive cushion spring gap, some as much as .0020 inch. Although I can manage to tune my coils correctly using my ECCT there is still a concern that erratic cushion spring bounce or flutter can occur. Apparently there was an article in the Jan - Fe...

Re: Stopping Power

I had this hard braking problem as well and discovered by chance that I had perfect brakes with the floorboards removed....the brake pedal was bent forward to such an extent that the cam only engaged well below floor board level. Applying heat and bending the pedal back solved the problem. Having an...

Re: Product Review: Brake Handle Extension

To facilitate floor board removal I have made a small hinged trap door on the side of the floorboard. Flip it up to remove the board sideways. I have also cut a small slit in my rubber floor mat, hardly visible. Removing the extension attachment to get to the hogshead is a pain in the butt and takes...
