Re: Who makes license plates ?

If you want an original tag for whatever year and state there is a gentleman in Salisbury NC that has thousands of car, truck and motorcycle tags. I bought one for every antique car I had from him. Ted the Tag Man (704)636-6928. My 15 and 16 porcelain tags are beautiful. I don't know if he ships, I ...

Stewart Model 114-A horn repair

Has anyone here repaired one of these plunger type horns? It works on occasion, the plunger will go down 3/8 of an inch and stop. If you move it around a bit it might work a few times then stick again. I have taken the horn shell off and lubricated the gears but to no success. Anyone familiar with t...

rim strips vs rim tape

I have McLaren wire wheels on my 1915 Runabout and need to change the tires out. The tires are standard 30" x 3-1/2" and the wheel diameter is 24". I can't find any rim strips that diameter and was wondering if any of you with wire wheels have used rim tape with any success or know of a supplier wit...

I am looking to buy a machined hub for my 15 T so that I use the speedometer that came on the car, and the car has unknown wire wheels. Attached are the pictures of the hub I need. Thanks much!

I've been running Kevlar since 2007 on my 16 Runabout with no issues. If you drive and stop "normal" they are fine. If you drive and stop "hard" it could result with some issues. I like mine.

I have a 16 Runabout and a 30 pickup. I enjoy them both for different reasons, but the T was my first "old car" and I drive it most every weekend. If I had to choose I'd sell the A, cause I truly love my T. There's just something about these early cars that's in my blood.

I have the Brassworks radiator on my 1915 Runabout and had no problems ever, including a 40 mile trip on a 105 degree day with lots of stopping. It ended my cooling problems.

Yes it is pre 16 and brass radiator, serial number T 281982, which puts it at May of 1913. I suspect it is a replacement block as well.

1916 brass radiator, what other years will it fit?

I have 2 spare old brass radiators (both leak) that came with my 1916 Runabout and a fellow wants them, but what other years will it fit? I think 1915 but unsure before that. Could not find it on the MTFCA facts page.

I've used Kwik Poly for years on car gas tanks and hit and miss engine tanks with great results. I get my tank clean first then dry it, and once your pour the 2 part epoxy in you have to start spinning it immediately as it sets up in minutes. It's great stuff!

If you decide to do it yourself I can tell you I have had great success with gas tanks from cars and hit-and-miss engines by doing the following. 1. Wash the gas tank out thoroughly. 2. Fill the tanks with distilled white vinegar and let it sit. Over a period of days all the rust will be cut loose. ...

Stevens axle reamer

Does the Model T Ford Museum loan tools to members? The front end of my 1916 Runabout is worn out and I need a Stevens axle reamer to complete the job. Don't really want to spend $800.00 for the one on Ebay for a one time job. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

If you end up buying new springs I would like one of your rear leaf springs, just one. I am rebuilding the rear end on my 1916 Runabout and found the 3rd spring from the bottom is broken through the center bolt. I'd be happy to purchase one.

John: Steve is right about cleaning your tank. If it's easy to take off the car that's great, but if not you can wash it out with water and a pressure nozzle on your hose. Then put a plug in it and pour in ten gallons of distilled white vinegar and let it sit for a week. Check on it from time to tim...
