Re: Any advice on brush painting a T?

I have painted my entire car in brush rustoleum black. It came out good. All the suggestions are helpful but what really worked for me is sanding the finish with 1000/1500 grit sandpaper and then using menguirs ultimate compound and a fast electric polisher. It’s great because it cost nothing. Coupl...

All good. It shocked some of the folks who didn’t see it on either sides of the stands. I was up in the grandstands looking down on it all while my radiator cooled off, so I just had the full view of reactions :)

Very cool. Was great to see them all lined up. What wasn’t cool was the red model k that drove through the cake walk later that evening when the street was closed with the dancers !

A great time had by all. Did see Steve’s tribute and that was very nice whoever did that. Sure was a hole in the 1915 area where he should have been. Over 1000 cars this year and one of the biggest. This year’s car races had the biggest participation they said.

Re: Oil leak/puddle underneath the starter...

You could get all fancy and get it redone, but I take a small plastic soup bucket from Chinese take out and tied it under the starter and ran a wire around to support it. Works just fine and just empty it periodically. Nobody sees it and it doesn’t overly complicate the matter

Trailer parking for OCF

Friends, we have been going to OCF for years but this is our first time taking the car and trailer for OCF. Question for you veterans: where can we park our trailers? Is it somewhere enclosed on the grounds away from the public? Wondering if I need to buy a lock for the trailer if it has to be kept ...

Finally got a tow car for OCF

Our family goes decked out for OCF every year and every year we say we need to bring the T up to participate. It was either we didn’t have a modern car that could tow or the kids were too small to handle both them and a car at the show. Today we traded in one of the minivans for the Durango with tow...

Hi all, first post in a very long time. I have a 22 touring and the kids love to stomp on the exhaust whistle, but they are too short to touch seated down. Measures 24.25 inches across from lip to lip, width is 3.25 from the outer lip to outer lip, 2 and 3/8 on the inner width....

Help identifying oddball demountable rim

Hi all,

I recently bought a bunch of rims for my car from craigslist, and I had this oddball rim included. It is marked HAYES, and here are the measurements:

Across (length): 24 1/4 inch
Width (outer): 3 1/4 in
Width (inner): 2 3/8 in

Note the clip on the lug as well. Any ideas? Thanks!

Yeah, I asked a seller for the engine number, that is what they sent me. I think they punched that out and fixed it over the engine where the real stamp would be. Thanks for telling me that’s a body number. I thought it looked strange too

Went around to a garage sale down the street and picked up an entire T load of 1920s radios. Got the entire lot for $50. deal was “load up” as much as you can in the car! Cash and carry!

Climbed over the windshield because the car was so full!

I’ve got a 3 year old and 5 year old, and we take the car everyday to our community pool about a mile away. I’ve never taken them on a main road - way too dangerous with idiot drivers.
