After setting for a few months, the weather was nice, so I decided to get the coupe out for a drive. I set the throttle and spark, turned the mixture a quarter turn to richen the mixture. Something else, that no one has mentioned yet, is to tear down the rear axle and get rid of the old Babbit thrust washers before they fail. It is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when. Because they will fail, they are old and fragile. If you are proactive and take care of this upfront, it will ...

Re: tube question 30x3-1/2 demountables
I just mounted my new Firestone tires, with new tubes and flaps onto my new rims from Australia too. The stem holes are off center a bit. The original ones are in the center. I think they will be fine. This is the first time for me working with clincher rims. The problem that I am having is that the...

Re: Valve stem wear
We used the UTP knurling tools. They are far superior to the KD type knurling tools like Goodson sells. There are different sizes cutter wheels for guides that had more wear. They came in sizes from .155 up to .195. The reamers are in .001" increments, not just a one pass process like the others. Th...

Re: I want to go camping with these guys!!
Dennis, thanks for replying to my post! That looks like a great time to me. Am I correct in assuming that you have a Ruckstell in your roady? What size are those tire chains? What kinds of modifications have you done to it, to make it trail worthy?

Re: WTB: Ignition Switch Tumbler
What I am looking for is for the dash mounted switch. It's the one on the left in the bottom picture that Frank posted. I think that I only need the tumblers, but willing to buy entire switches.
