Re: WTB: Ford model T touring

Garrett I know of a Model T touring for sale in Central CA, (Fresno/Visalia area). Its not for the "purist", but it would be a fun car to "play with". He's asking $10,000.00 for it. Its kind of a mix-up of years/parts, but it does look pretty decent. Give me a call and we can discuss further details...

The wrench was usually supplied with the ford tractors, (8-N, 2-N, 9-N), The measurements were used for setting the adjustments on the plow. That was I was told many years ago and have never heard anything to contradict that information.

Something to think about, and others have eluded to it on this post. Hand crank starting any antique vehicle, tractor, "one-lunger"engine or truck and successfully backing a trailer. The ability to have success in any of those endeavors is DIRECTLY porportional to the number of witnesses/spectators.

Just a few short days 'til we move in at Tulare. Weather will be very warm on Friday and still quite warm on Saturday with clouds-NO RAIN!!! I'm loading four trailer loads of early car parts, (mostly Model "T"). I'll post a partial list to try and entice a few buyers to come see the goods. Here's wh...

Is there anyone in the San Diego area that would be willing to drive their Model "T" to a school to let the children see one close-up. I guess I'm another one of those guys that never grew up, (although I am getting older). The name comes from the car I drive; a 1967 Pontiac GTO. Its the car I drove to high school and just couldn't ever even think of getting rid of it. (it has over 300,000 miles on it now).

OK, here's my last "guess". The photo is taken in a residential setting in 1948, but I don't see any power lines or telephone poles in the background. By 1948, most neighborhoods had visible power lines. This could be a rural neighborhood that is still "off the grid".

The only other thing I can see that is "wrong" is the starting crank engaged in the crankshaft and not hanging straight down, again, that has nothing to do with the photo being taken in 1948. There is a fairly new 1946 Ford in the first photo, but not noticeable in the second picture.
