Wayne; That part actually was probably made to a good standard and your pan versus the new part had enough discrepancy to be mis-aligned. In the factory, the rough nose piece and tail piece were assembled to the pan in a die, brazed and then the entire pan was put in a lathe type machine and the nos...

Make sure that it’s not ACTUALLY dripping from the drain hole on the bottom of the starter housing by the flange. This is very common area for oil loss. Re: KRW gap gauge
I’m guessing I’ve set the magnet heights on around 100 flywheels, and for most all of those I’ve used the KRW tool. It generally takes 2-4 tries to get well within spec. There probably wasn’t one time that I was happy with the clearance on the very first try. The KRW tool is essential because it all...

The larger radius allows it to gently bend & flex so vibration and engine to frame flex are less likely to break it.

That is indeed what he is looking for. None of the vendors have any in stock. They used to be manufactured by Bob’s Antique in Illinois and haven’t been made since they sold that part of the business.

Call the vendor you purchased them from and explain the problem. Ask them to pick a couple outer bearings from their stock that are of the most recently received stock and ask if they can try them on some good used spindles. If those fit well, then send yours back for an exchange and tell them you w...

Warford salesman's presentation book for sale (In person at Hershey only)
I have a Warford company salesman's book that came from an estate sale in Syracuse, NY. This is the book that a Warford Company salesman would use in his “in person” sales presentations. It is an album type binder with many documents, photos, and advertisements for their transmissions and products a...
