Fred thanks for the response, I think having something there too would be great. I think for folks in the North & Northeast it would be a deal breaker being another 3-4 hours driving but in addition to something in Oklahoma sounds great.

Jim I’m pretty sure HH stands for Hogshead. He’s talking about the boss on the back of the later block where the two bolts go through the top ears of the Hogshead for the late 1925 through 1927 motors and then bolt to the Back of the block just below the head.

I thought so, I noticed while watching your sister drive that the ammeter wasn’t showing a discharge or charge.

Mitch do you have a cutout or voltage regulator on your generator? I thought that was a great Video & as others said I was a bit tense watching it. Not sure why but definitely felt the twinge in the nether regions while watching the road ha

Re: Engine Casting Mark VS Engine Serial Number
Jim almost sure, unless it’s a Canadian block, Ford stopped the casting dates after 1921. The 26 may be a 20. If the casting date is in a circle it is month, year, & day, the month being the upper most number followed by year going clockwise then the day. Hope that helps. Best John

Re: What am I missing here - Kingston Y 4-ball
It’d really be a nice find if you could actually locate the drain valve as pictured in the parts photo. Lots of broken ones because people forced them to open. The handle is very petite. Most of the time the needle & seat on the 4 ball leaked like a sieve. I believe Corey Walker does a very nice job...

Re: Connecting Rods Debate
So our T engines are following Bernoulli’s law on dynamic pressure in the splash system, right? If that’s true then not having an exit for the oil (like a hole in the upper portion of the rod saddle) reduces the amount of lubricant. if you have dippers & just a hole in the cap only is there enough c...

Here’s a question, if the oil system in a T is not a sealed system & you’re using a splash system with dippers is the oil movement considered hydraulic or pneumatic?

James to Adams points with that probable long term problem effect on the many transmission components a really good inspection of the 3rd main. In the past year I’ve seen a few engines come in that have the 3rd main crack or totally cracked out. It would really sux to do a lot of good work on the tr...

Re: Source for -20-0-20 dc ammeter for switches pre 26 & 26-7
Well I didn’t really explain that well. I should have just put
-20-10-0-10-20. Now from a practicality standpoint all of the meters shown are 0-5-10-15-20 (except the middle Hoyt) just not highlighted with every number just by bars & or spaces if you want to be so darn literal.

Do you have a Friend close by with a T that could help you out for the event? I hate it for the kids but I don’t think your engine is going anywhere soon. Who knows though maybe some one has a working engine on a stand somewhere close by for a quick swap to help out. Hopefully so.

Bob like I posted in the classifieds. If you look you’ll see the thin supports that strengthens the total assembly as in a set of sockets for a touring. Maybe someone made those or it’s for another style car. The 23-25 roadster sockets are a simple affair. 3 sockets on each side, no metal webbing be...

JR I’m sure you know but just in case have the throttle all the way down when checking your compression.
