Many years ago at Hershey, Russ Potter was selling R V mirrors that bolted to the windshield frame using TWO bolts of the windshield hinge. It has been on my '13 Touring since. I think most of the vendors use the first part of the Ford number followed by a letter or/and number for their own inventory purposes. There was a time when Ford (Motor Co.) claimed possession of the parts book numbers and vendors had to invent their own, but that seems to have been resolved. Likely...

I don't think warping is caused by the heat, rather by the peening action of the grains of blasting media. I have bead blasted too many chassis parts to count but I will not media blast sheet metal! Paint stripper, but that has its own problems healthwise.

“The T” worked fine on the ‘13 until a ‘21 coupe entered the picture. So “the T” ‘s friend was named after a long loved golden retriever, named after a car, in the garage when the golden came home, Lizzie. Disney be d#$@d. Cars are not conciously named, they just come along.
