Except you already have the rear dif completely assembled you can easily widen the keeper slot at the gear end of the axle and install a thicker spacer. This extends it out about 1/4" and is what lots of guys do to get a bit more clearance at the hub.
Worked great for me!

I've given a demonstration using a large plastic bottle on the end of a drill motor with some beads inside. It's cool to see it go from wobbling to smooth spinning.
BTW I've heard motorcycles guys like them. Weights on a cycle wheel would look terrible and the tire is always in balance as it wears.

Re: counterbalanced crankshaft what make??
I'm sure there is another SureBreak crank that has been running for nearly a hundred years BUT unfortunately one of our club members recently rebuilt his engine not knowing the reputation with a SureBreak crankshaft that had been checked out. It broke in a very short time of driving! Was a sad learn...

You should put this search on the discussion section. Wow Reflections sure makes some nice items!! I'm betting the link Scott posted would have caps that fit the Boyco cans. It looked like the $65 lids were sourced and then later stamped with the lettering?

David, Do you have TWO of the L irons?
I was told by Larry Smith that the L irons on my Torpedo are two long. They measure 9" from the top of the threads to the center line of the L. If your are shorter and you need these longer ones please let me know!
