Frame, axles, and engine -- assorted, Little Rock, AR $350

As seen in the attached photos. The frame is nice. It was blasted and painted 20 years ago and kept inside. There is a '26 - '27 front axle assembly and a common one. Common differential with axles but no driveshaft. '26 - '27 engine block that has had a crack repair, '26 - '27 transmission that loo...

A bump just to keep the thread alive. Marvel No. 2 power hacksaw salvaged from a factory several years after it flooded. Not as efficient as a horizontal bandsaw but takes up a lot less space and sure beats doing it by hand.

Walter, if you can't find what you want given the dimensions you quote, there is another way. The optima battery does not need to be standing upright. It can be laid on its side, so that may give you other options. Allan from down under. Thanks for the suggestion. Optima's are great for that and it...

Need a smaller box than the one shown to fit my application. No longer than 13" outside length. Minimum inside length 10-1/4" to accommodate shown Optima battery. No wider than 8-1/2" but could be less by quite a bit. Vertical depth of box itself no less than 8" given that it has a 1" lid. Inside di...

I see no sign of the hub being cracked. My suspicion is that when the bearing tightened up that the inner cup started spinning in the hub. The bearing then continued to tighten pressing the bearing tighter into the cup and expanding it as it wore the hub. That would explain why it took a lot of eff...

This is not a brake design that lends itself well to use as a service brake. That's to say nothing of the ...

I have taken to milling the axle to my liking. If the keyway in the hub is a bit loose you can even get standard "oversized" key stock from McMaster and sweeten up the fit a little more yet. Being a light tap fit is ideal but not to the point it is necessary to pound them. That is asking for trouble...

Look at how the tooth root is gashed into some of the bolt holes. Is it deep or does it just look worse in photos than it really is? On a standard 40-tooth gear they don't do that. Is the fillet at the root sharp? Do you think the problem originated at the hole near 12-o'clock that appears to be tor...

Using the same standard to measure that you are there, my '11 Torpedo column tube is 29-1/2" and my 1912 column is 25-1/2". It seems that you have the correct column in your '12 Torpedo and an incorrect column in your '12 Touring.
