Painting new wood wheels

I have looked up the past discussions and the subject has been well covered but it appears some say not to oil the new wood ? When I picked up my newly spoked & fellowed wheels, they had been coated with 'raw' linseed oil. That was about 4 months ago and they have been just sitting since then. Sadly...

Running Board Acetylene cylinder ?

I have recently come across an acetylene cylinder without an markings. I have seen some previously with the "Prest-o-lite" script rolled in the shell but this one has nothing. The valve at the top is offset and it has the gauge concealed within the base as would a running board tank. It is 6 & 1/4" ...

Re: Seat Belt Install

Surely you would use "period" belts ?? If you recall watching "Green Acres" back in the 60s [ or was it the 70s ?] "Mr Hainey" had safety belts fitted to his TT. That kind of restraint is as much as most "T" bodies can withstand. I recall they were of woven or platted baling twine, securely hooked o...

Re: Front plate magneto drive, complete accessory

P.M. Sent Hello Tim, I find you have disabled your PM receipt ? I acquired one of these magneto drives some time ago out of a shed where it had sat for goodness knows how long. Sadly the drive gear was missing and I assume still attached to a cam shaft or motor unit long gone from the property. Coul...

Re: Old Photo- What is it?

More likely the Weber Wagon signage is just advertising or perhaps an agency. The prominent signage on the building appears to be Owl Cigars ?

A bit hard to read clearly but the name above the door might be J.H. or J.B. EAT ? if that rings anyone's bells ?

Re: Could be FORD ?

I understand that the one that got 'Bought out" was also bailed out, and still managed to send itself down the crapper ? But I am sure the 'executives' still had good salaries and board members good fat fees right up till the day they got bought for a song ? I understand the OTHER one to get bailed ...

Re: WTB New in the Box Brassworks 13-14 Rad

If it is a New Zealand market radiator, it should have the extended top tank. They are about 4 inches deeper and sit above the motor/ fan.

WTB Glass Headlamp Reflectors

Looking for 6 inch Dia glass reflectors for E&J, Brown & Victor 1912-1914 Acetylene headlamps. Known as Mangin Mirrors.
I am not expecting perfect specimens but hopefully intact (in one piece ) and suitable for re-silvering would be considered.

My mailing base is Portland, Oregon.

Re: *WANTED* 1912-14 Renault / model T rolling chassis

There is currently a very complete 13/14 Renault "Project" for sale in France. It is all disassembled, but they say it is all there. It appears it is an open tourer body. I would presume all woodwork and upholstery and the like (& top ) would be missing or shot ? They are asking $15,750.00 I have no...
