I’ve been able to start on battery and switch to magneto with no issues until today.
I’ve checked all the obvious (to me) places, connections and post. Also took apart the switch and found nothing.
I started this morning and mag was functioning, this afternoon nothing.
What am I missing.

I’m in the process of installing Bennett external brakes. I want to include the drum brake but need to adapt the peddle somehow so it has the cam.

I’ve finished this project. My favorite and most reliable car is my 1916 T runabout. It seems I’ve turned to the Buick’s. The model G two cylinder is about done, and I got a Model 17 to fill the void.

I soaked these in hot water over a period of several days. Then used a piece of wood and a finger nail to peal off lacquer coating.
It took awhile but the results was worth the effort.

Update on progress. I found another set of nos rings that are .010 over. End gaps on old rings in the ring travel area were .035+. Yes, there is a role to the edge. I have no clue how to straighten/ flatten it without removing the ear.

I cleaned area as suggested and believe the leak is between the ear and the pan. There are no visible cracks or seepage on the exterior rivets.
I’m trying to figure out how JB weld would solve the leak.
