Re: How to remove a stuck rear wheel?

On my 27 the wire wheel hubs were stuck SOLID. I spent weeks doing the numerous methods (driving with loosened hub nut, gear puller, pounding with 5 pound hammer, soaking pb blaster etc) with no success. I made a hub puller from a ford pitman arm puller similar to Dan's. (I recommend putting the cas...

Re: 26-27 Rear brake linings are on but wheel won't go on.

I just went thru this on my 27..... I hope your rivets are counter-sunk deep enough into the lining.....luckily I counter sunk rivets roughly 1/3 the lining thickness. I had to remove at least 1/16 inch off the lining with a belt sander to achieve very slight drag on drum. You can cut the ends off t...

Re: Throttle and spark Linkage 27 coupe

These pics are with spark and throttle levers fully retarded (up) on 27 (2 door sedan).

Throttle linkage rod lever is up (1 or 2 oclock) on shaft and stops on steering shaft.

Re: Holley Vaporizer troubles

I agree with Jim and Jerry and Duey. Strip down the vaporizer, clean all passages, buy and replace all parts Duey mentions. ALSO The SPRAY NOZZLE (part 6286) definitely has to come out.....there are some orifices that behind it that must be cleaned for proper operation. I had to use an easy-out to g...

Take your time and soak it with penetrating oil. The SPRAY NOZZLE (part 6286) definitely has to come out.....there are some orifices that behind it that must be cleaned for proper operation. I had to use an easy-out to get fuel needle out......destroyed it... but new parts are available. Also make c...

Go ahead and give the neoprene needle a try.......if it gives you problems it is easy to switch out a different float valve with the carb on the car.

Re: Need Advise on Vaporizer Carb Overhall

If your float is brass/tin you can submerge it in hot (near boiling) water .....if you see air bubbles coming out of the float it has pinhole(s) and should be sealed or replaced. If it is good ...use it. FYI I had issues with the replacement gross jet float valve restricting flow and causing engine ...

Re: NEW TO VAPORIZER

Fairly new to Ts and no experience the NH carbs vs Vaporizer. I rebuilt the Vaporizer on my 27 T. I found that the spray nozzle must be removed as there is gunk and carbon that will clog several orifices behind it. All connections must be air tight....I use Permatex Red on the heat plate and pipe co...
