1935 Michigan license plate on 1924 Ford Model T, also Illinois state car show plates 2018-2019
The picture of the car shows the original plate first used by my family in 1934. We also have the title, registration and window stickers from 1934. The new plates are Illinois personalized plates. Each year classic car owners can get a custom plate that is good from July 1 until the Illinois state ...

Re: Wicker Model T
We are the proud owners of The Basket Case. It has it’s own Facebook page; if you search there for @TBasketCase you can find lots of pictures, videos, and the rest of the story. There are videos of the wheels also. At the Old Car Festival, we found that the wheel covers on each side didn’t “turn the...

Re: Grease cup: OK to shorten the post?
I've also seen the ball cap turned (grease cup) down so as to be accessible from under the car rather than removing floorboards, shifters, cut-out pedal linkages, etc. So was just the ball cap down, or was the whole driveshaft tube upside down, so that the hole aligned? I've found that I installed ...

Wow! You guys amaze me with how quickly you reply, and with pictures!!! I took one of mine apart, put the significant parts next to a ruler. 000_0035.JPG 000_0037.JPG 000_0040.JPG The overall length is dependent on the amount that the screw is driven into the "hook" 000_0042.JPG I LOVE the brass one...

WTB hood latch NOT Model T...
My Model T (Basket Case) has three latches that look like the attached photo
. I'm looking for one more, to replace the missing one. I found something close for antique tractors, but nothing identical. Anyone seen any like this?- Thu May 23, 2019 6:54 pm

Re: Steering Stabilizers
I’m just finishing rebuilding the front end on the Basket Case, and I’ve learned a ton here and elsewhere on the forum. A couple questions remain. First, is there a minimum gauge wire used to safety wire the nuts on the wishbone? I’m going on the International tour and don’t want to have any inspect...

‘24 Roadster steering column bolts
I did not notice during disassembly that the carriage bolts holding the steering column flange to the firewall have two different size heads. They all seem to fit everywhere. Anyone know how these should go, and if it matters?

Spindle bushing tool for borrow/sale?
I've got the front end and rear end torn out of my Basket Case (see Facebook @TBasketCase), and I'm looking to borrow/buy used the tool for facing the spindle bushings for the front axle. I'm hoping someone has a tool I can borrow or buy used for a reasonable price. PM me if interested.

24 Roadster front spring lengths
I am rebuilding “the ends” of The Basket Case, found that front end has been, hmm, “customized”! Wondering What is the proper length of each of the individual leaf springs? I believe 7 is the correct number, looking for length/configuration, how many leafs within clips?
