Re: Has anyone ever driven their T across the Mighty Mac?

The "Mighty Mac" is the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan, it connects the lower peninsula to the upper peninsula.

The Northern Michigan T's will be having a 2 day "Tunnel Of Trees Tour", Sept 20-21 this year, that will include crossing the Mighty Mac.

Robert, Position the stem at an angle while the rim is split so that as you spread the rim the stem straightens. As you have found out, starting with the stem straight up it has nowhere to go but angled as you expand the rim. Go easy with the rim spreader, putting the legs in the wrong place and usi...

The rim should only be overlapped a little, the joiner should not go as far as the stem. You still need to coax the tire on the rim with a couple of tire irons.

Wheel Rims Plated

I picked up my rims from the plater recently and was very pleased with the results. I am usually underwhelmed by some of the businesses that will take on a small job like model T parts, do it in a reasonable time and for a reasonable price. I agree, best to wait and check with Steve. He was a regular poster on this forum, the fact that he is not posting since the accident should mean he has other priorities right now.

Re: Fan pulley rebuild

Tim, A little slop in your fan shaft and bushings may be OK, and as others have stated, too tight a fit is a problem, so you may or may not have an overly worn fan hub. Your issues appear to be self inflicted, your fan belt looks too long which is positioning your fan pulley and belt too close to th...

I recently installed new hoses on my 26 and 24 with what Langs carries for T's and did not find them too short or even a little short.

Re: WTB, 26-27 Bumpers and Front axle perches.

Brian, If the bumpers are for your runabout you should know the Ford rear bumpers use different brackets for different body styles. The runabout and coupe have the spare tire angled forward so sticks out farther away near the bottom, so uses a longer bumper bracket to clear the spare. The split rear...

Re: Question Regarding Reverse

Adjust the reverse band so that when you push on the pedal with your hand it bottoms out about even with the brake and clutch pedal. If you can push it farther it is too loose and if you cant push it as far as the brake and clutch it is too tight. That will put you in the ball park.

If you need an end cap use a square end black cap. The rain gutters are needed to get the right look and functional too.

No, you will not find any sales or delivery documentation for January 1924. There were 9 million model T's sold by then, that's a lot of records to keep.
