Re: Stick handle for a lincwelder ac-225-s?

Hey, I found a lincwelder ac-225-s on the curb. See the picture for the stick holder that is missing the top part... Are you sure this is part of a stick holder? It looks like the male half of a cable connector, used for coupling additional lengths of welding cable...try putting 'TWECO cable connec...

If one horse will get you there, then two is better. If I really want to rub it in everyone's face, then I will get 4. See how much better I am then you :D It took every horse in the settlement to pull this machine, but it was way faster than the "technology" it replaced! horse drawn combine.jpg (p...

Re: What kind of pocket knife do you carry?

This forum cuts across all kinds of people so I figure there’s a lot of you who carry a pocket knife. What’s your favorite and what do you find yourself using it for? From the time I started trade school in 1970 until I retired as an industrial electrician in 2014 I carried a Klein 1550-6 pocket kn...

The Mortgage Lifter; was: "The Ford Cheaper than a Horse"

The Ford advertisement shown on the original thread was interesting...interesting also were several ads, reprinted in the Draft Horse Journal when I was a subscriber in the '80s and '90s, from livestock magazines of the same time period. The draft horse registries were promoting horses as the farmer...

The water cooled exhaust manifold indicates that it' s boat motor. Possibly a sailboat motor? Universal Motor made a good many marine engines and engine powered light plants in the hundred years between the 1890s and 1990s; maybe one of theirs? I know they were still building a 30 hp flathead 4 the...
