I to am very new to the TT world. As I read this post and understand a second braking system sounds like a good idea. My next question would have to be, what exterior band braking system is best?

Yes it does have an auxiliary transmission. It doesn’t sound like the sound is coming from there but it certainly may be. I will try theses suggestions soon.

I really don’t know much about the engine and tranny rebuild. The only thing I know is that a couple of guys that heard it start and run were really impressed how well it started and ran, and how quiet it was.

I got my 27 TT out for the second time this weekend. Wow do I need to practice driving it. Fortunately I have a parking lot to practice in. I hauled mine about 800 miles by cribbing up under the axles. The tires just barely touched the bed of the trailer. We had no problems.

I believe the room in the drivers seat varied from one cab manufacturer to the other. I am new to the model t world but I have already realized the TT I have was not made for the short and heavy guys. Yesterday I was checking things out on my TT and I noticed the sockets on the drag long were quite loose. What is the procedure for repairing these? The ball looks consistent round but the socket doesn’t look quite as good.
