Re: Steve Jelf Gofundme, Model T Project
A 15 model T in any condition is restorable if you have the title. There was an early Waco (airplane) rudder hanging on a wall at Flabob airport. It had a N number on it A local guy bought it and restored it to flying condition. the picture is not the actual airplane I have a 25 frame he can cut up ...

Thank you to all of you for your comments and advice. the hubs came without the brake drum
Just the hub with the studs installed
I didn't realize that they were splined until I pressed them out
If the brake drum had been installed I wouldn't have had the problem.
The brake drum holes are .6 so the hub would have been .6

1915 Top
Is this the proper set of top bows for my 1915 Runabout?
There doesn't seem to be a way to attach the wood bows to the metal bows.
The wood bow slides into the metal bow and I would think that there would be a screw holding them together?

I just made the mistake of buying a 21 inch tire from Langs. It didn't show up on the original invoice which also had tube, flaps and front wheel seals on it. A bit of trivia. I overhauled a Continental GO-300 aircraft engine oh so many years ago and the overhaul manual said to use castor oil to lube the wrist pin's. I still need to file off the markings on the head. Deciding where the holes go is the hard part Lots of other st...

When you cotter pin a stud you turn it into an un safetied bolt.
I made an off field landing because of two studs that held the rocker stand to the head that had cotter pins.

Is it possible to make the seat material (leather?) more pliable?
I would think that sitting on it in its current condition would destroy it.
If I were lucky enough to have it I wouldn't restore it but clean it up and drive it like it is.

For years I have used Aviation Permatex which comes in a can as a thick liquid.
It appears to be alcohol based as it cleans up with alcohol.
Never gets hard and seems to seal well.
I also use a silk thread between case halves on aircraft engines.

for cars built before 1928 they use the original sale cost to determine value.
I just registered my new to me 1915 and they decided that the value was as I recall
$260. They did the same thing when I licensed my 1925. I had the original bill of sale for it.
