If you look at a good lock washer you will see the split is cut at a angle. This forms a barb that digs into the nut and keeps it from turning. Look at a nut you have removed and usually can see where it has dug into it.

Re: What does this mean?

You have 2 exhaust ports close together, the other ports are single and far apart. Exhaust heat from 2 close together means much more heat in this area.

I'm lost on this one, Help.

Got a engine giving me nightmares. Will not run on all 4. Good compression, good spark but not getting fuel to number 2 cylinder. Any ideas?

Re: Door Check Straps

My original 17 does not have footman loops. It has a very thick fabric strap. This is tacked behind the door cardboard and on the body it is fastened with 2 oval head screws thru a trim washer.

Leon Parker wood plans

Is it possible to buy wood plans made by him? I understand he passed away, but thought I read that his family was still selling his plans.

wood plans

Does anybody have wood plans for the 23-24 roadster? I only need plans for the upright post but would consider buying a full set of plans.

Re: Wood for roadster body.

I found a supply for the wood I need. A friend of mine owns a saw mill and says he has any wood I need. He also has and restores Model T's and Model A's.

Wood for roadster body.

I can not find any maple or ash lumber within 60 miles of home. All we have is pine or red oak. Any suggestions of what else I might use.

24 roadster seat cushion frame.

This roadster has a metal bracket on each side of the seat cushion base corners. This bracket fastens the seat frame to the wooden part of the seat rear support. Hard to describe this but hope someone might know what I am talking about and might show me a photo of it

A different way to do rust repair.

DSCN0003_03.JPG
I have seen many different ways to fix rust holes, but this is a first. Shove a piece of tin inside the body behind the holes and hold it in place with screws and nuts and then wood screws thru the tin into the wood sill.

What was I thinking?

Why would a 76 year old half crippled nut buy a 24 roadster in a hundred parts. I haven't even finished the 27 coupe I am working on. The sheet metal is in decent condition but the wood needs replaced. Only thing I see it needs is the lower windshield frame. DSCN0004_04.JPG DSCN0004_04.JPG DSCN0004_...

This would be for a fabric weather seal/anti squeak cushion for the hood. On the outside.
