Disteel Wheels - Scale Model Parts
Just wanted to thank everyone here you all were really helpful as I started researching Disteel wheels for model T's for scale models. I was able to use the dimensions and pics from here to create 3D models, have them cast in brass, and then use the brass masters to make resin copies for sale that f...

Re: Exhaust Deflector?
Sure if there is an interest I didn’t want to overstep
I am doing research and having parts 3D printed and then cast in resin. My first project was a set of Disteel wheels in 1:24 and 1:25 and now am working on a Frontenac OHV engine.

Exhaust Deflector?
I have been looking at this picture thinking of making a model of this racer and wondering about this one part. Is it a deflector or shield for the exhaust, especially because of the right hand drive? I don't remember seeing it anywhere else

Re: 50 worst cars of all time?
I read the fifty worst car list with the Ford Model T second a little bit ago didn't know it was Time magazine as i read it online. If I remember correctly his issue with the Model T was that it was so successful it started the country and the world on buying automobiles for personal transportation ...

I have this pic from an older discussion around 2010 if memory serves. I drew some black lines and white lines those are the type of dimensions I am looking for plus the heights but what was posted so far is great thanks

Faultless or Bulldog Race - Bit of a Long Shot
I know this is a bit of a long shot but are there any measured drawings of the wood frame for one of these? Or a repo someone has done?

Re: brass plating
I have used the Caswell kits for some gun parts works OK on small parts. I could see doing some small levers, knobs, things like that but I wouldn't try a radiator shell.
Like any metal work though the plating is only as good as the prep, polishing, and degreasing done before plating.

Re: Old photo T Campers
Remember back around the turn of the twentieth shirts were still considered underwear so it would be unusual to just be in a shirt. Just a vest over it was common in the summer but also when you see a suit jacket in the summer it was probably a lighter weight fabric and looser weave then is common t...

I love the stripped down look you can see just about everything on the car that is usually hidden.
This picture is fairly well known and I am sure has been posted here before but it is the same general idea and time period but LHD instead of RHD - Frank Kulick seated at the wheel

“The driver is Rowland Winn, who was a successful garage owner from Leeds. He became Lord Mayor of that city, and he had a garage in Middlesbrough on Linthorpe Road. The photo was taken in July 1911, and he was in luck that day as he won his class at a speed of 44.5mph.” I like this one but there is...

Disc wheel covers photos wanted

Re: Wooden spoked wheel overhaul
Just as a practical matter would it make sense to mix woods in a wheel by only replacing some spokes? Im not an expert but it seems wood cut 100 years ago would expand and contract differently from some cut in the last few and kiln dried? Wouldn’t that risk it getting out of kilter?

Any T’s in South East England?
I am scoping out a model kit of a basic T chassis using a combination of photo etched brass for the frame, crsss members, and leaf springs, brass rod and tube, and lost wax cast brass axles, wheels, etc. Anyway the gentleman doing the artwork for the photo etch is located on South East England and a...

Re: Rootlieb Speedster Body Kit
Hi Bill
Yes I have that kit but the frame is cast with the fenders. I was thinking to have a more accurate frame set designed in photo etched brass in the same scale. Just need some good dimensioned drawings that aren’t 1926-27 but have the older rear crossmember. Plus need the longer hood
