I added a 6volt alt.4 years back.. The only problem the roll pin broke on a tour in Kansas the next summer. I drilled the the hole out to an 8 mm set screw with a little lock tight on it. Has been just fine for 3 years. No problem hooking everything up. Clyde.

The wife and I drove our 4-dr 25 miles today. I just finished putting a 10 tooth pinion bearing and it made a difference. Now I have to work on the timing and then we can do some local drives as we had to cancel out Sho-Me Tour because of the virus. Have a good weekend. Clyde

Rearend in 4-door completed
Just finished the rearend on my 4- dr. Put the 4 to 1 gears in and it made a big difference. I put the z head on last year so this should make a whole better performance in the hills. When the rain is over I will go for a drive in the hills. You all have a good day. Clyde.

Decided to rebuild the rearend on my 4-door. It made the Florida tour great. We took it apart 2 days ago and found it in bad shape. I haven’t checked the comp. on my engine since I put the Z head on. Have over 1,000 miles on it and has really made difference in the hills. Drove to St. Louis, Mo. Last Friday on old Rt. 66. My for-dor is heavy but only in low once. Best money I spent on my 26 T. Improved my mileage also. Clyde.

I keep my low pedal 1 and a 1/2 inch off the floor. It doesn't stick any more. I also readjusted my clevis. Low pedal works fine now.

If by chance it has oil slingers instead of mag ring check to see if the bolts on slingers have locktite on them. I purchased a trans ready to,install without checking. Less than 300 miles on it one came loose. From now on I will do my own repairs. Learned the hard way.

After 300 miles one of the oil slingers came off. What a mess. Two more had loose bolts. I have everything cleaned and waiting for parts. I put the motor back in "Lulabel". My outdoor shop is going to leak tommorow so won't get it running until next week. Looking forward to driving the for-door. The new Z head ought to help her climb the hills better.

I just finished putting coil in one of my block head bolt holes today. I put the new Z head on and torqued the bolts . It worked just fine. Will put the motor back in tomorrow.

Took transmission apart and found a very fatigued tranny. Will pick up one from Ross at Chickasha. I have a month to get Lulabell ready so will get her ready touring season. Will put a new head gasket on while I can get to back bolts to torque them. Have a good day.

Clyde and Linda Gibson. We are going there after the Billings tour. Will be staying in west Yellowstone RV park. We plan to drive around for a few days in our T. Will see you in Billings. Steve the tour is from July 16 - 20.
