the frst one looks to say k-w on the rad, there is a name on the step plate but cant read it, # 2 has a name on the front crossmember , need better pics. i do the best i can,ha,ha. charley

tha fit on the wheel in the film looks to be about 1/8 th. as i rember the wheels that came from calf after we boared them we had to make 3/8 s ring to press on the hub charley

you can make all the spokes from one piece of wood but if the center hole is not tight the car is being carried buy the bolts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! charley

allan look again you can clearly see the spokes still square on the ends and the hub falls in.there was a wheel shop in calf that them that way we put them in a big lathe bored them out the made a spacer to fill the gap. charley

you can clearly see the end of the spokes are square and the hub falls in, you should have to press it in,bolt holes look louse to me.charley

those wheels would not be on my car.they use the bolts to support the car seen at 2:14.you must bore the center of the wheel the same size as the hub.junk. charley

thanks, if it is straight grain if you cut a creve it will be very week,one other that has a woven grain is elm, but it is so stringey it is very hard to machine.charley

oak& ash are fine for strait pieces but the grain just lays on top of its self so if you have to cut a creve it is about as week as pine.look for a wood that has a woven grain as sycamore has,holds nails & screws very well + it is a lot lighter.some of you have so much power whats an extey 100 lbs o...

i have done 300 bodies. i would take out the old wood then sand blast to see what you really have.looks like a 23-25 body.charley
