Col. Porker's success with the bear led to a much larger success in dealing with aggressive car warranty scammers. Bears were trained in IT and advanced methods of computer hacking, then given free reign to exact their "price" upon those they showed up upon the doorstep of. Endorsed by both the Uvul...

The recently mentioned Colonel Parker is not to be confused in modern day recollections with the celebrated Colonel Porker, Chief Ventricular Agent for the Hespidrome in Saddlestring. Col. Yes, some of us enjoy the privilege of living where there are hundreds of miles of great Model T (or Model TT) roads. I was born in Los Angeles County and raised in L. Irresponsible driving, by exceeding speed for conditions (this includes driving beyond emergent braking needs) is just begging for a wrecked T or TT (or any car, really). Just saw this thread .... My TT came to me as a standard "farm gears" sort of truck, shaking itself apart in the high teens range. An engine rebuild with a careful balance, C-race cam, Z-Head, Scat crank, and a high flow carb (have used several), and express gears out back have given me run-out-of-p...

Since I built my own place, I did not inherit old wiring and fixtures to adapt to. I pulled my own wire and placed outlet boxes all over the place to plug lights and neon signs in to. They began as 4' fluorescent shop lights, but were replaced a few years ago when I found a screamin' deal on some sa...

As a very small child, I was drawn to old things of all sorts. One such early memory that poisoned my young mind was the wall of shelves behind the door to Grandpa's garage. It was floor-to-ceiling covered with Grandma's retired old jars, given to Grandpa when she bought newer, modern jars like the ...

I have hardly driven my truck this year. Putting the top attic floor and roof on my house occupied every moment since last October 01, and once it was in shingles, I was under the knife for a long overdue shoulder rebuild. Been driving it again the last few days. Hauled a load of hay and feed across...

Lacking an odometer in the days before stars were brought to the Basin, those in need of calculating mileage were in a bit of a pickle. My turnkey truck was far from satisfactory when I got it. It ran fine, but shook itself to death above 15mph. All drivetrain components were suspect, as was the suspension. One major project each winter got me to a happy place in about 3 years. It was still a running, driving machine in the meantime...

Radiator filler snout solder came loose. Did hard clean of surfaces and resoldered.
Still leaking on exterior of overfill tube. Gonna have to pull the whole thing and flip
the radiator for that operation.
