I have a freshly rebuilt front axel that has the wrong spindles (early ones).
I had not idea there were different spindles and as "Murphy's Law" took over my wooden wheels don't go one far enough.
Can I "re-use" the King Pins or do I need new ones?

CHOKE ROD SLEEVE Part # T-4591 | Model Year 26-27 In 26-27 the T's did not have a separate rod to choke the carb. This sleeve slips up the carb control beyond the cotter pin hole. I want to replace the aluminum timing with an original steel one.
Is it as simple and pulling off the aluminum gear and pushing on the steel gear?
Is the timing gear "pressed" on? That would make swapping the gear MUCH more difficult.

I once had a wheel I could not get off with either of the tools shown.
I ended up backing off the nut a couple of turns (so it was loose but not falling off) and then driving the car a little making tight turns both left and right.
That worked when nothing else would.

I was happy to see these youngsters enjoying the early day theme. They enjoyed both cars and the contrast.

I am using "sand blasting grit" in my cabinet. Shiny black stuff originally.
What is the issue you are alluding to? I don't want to screw up my cabinet as I haven't had it that long.

Re: 1927 Coil Box Wiring
The hot wire from the switch (COIL) terminal, goes to the bottom of the '26-'27 box, that powers the coils. IMG_3909 (570x428).jpg Remember the engine mount box plug wiring is different from fire wall mount box. On the engine mount box, the terminal on the far right is #4 plug! IMG_5022 (800x601) (...

1927 Coil Box Wiring
Removing the distributor and putting a coil box back on my 1927 Touring. There is a strip of contacts in the bottom of the coil box but I am unable to see where it connects although I see a wire coming out of the bottom in pictures and no idea where it goes to or how it connects to the coil box. I o...

Bow Saddle
The saddle that my top bows rest on when the top is down is loose. I know there is a nut on it inside but for the life of me simply peeling back the panels I cannot reach that nut to tighten it.

Blown Head Gasket
The head gasket blew on my friends 1923 Fordor. I am working on getting one stuck bolt out (you guessed it, farthest one aft on the port side) but I would like to know if there is anything I need to look for while replacing this gasket. Something that occasionally accompanies a blown head gasket. T...

Re: Ammeter does not register a charge
The battery side of the cutout will show what your battery has as it is a straight shot to the battery on one wire. Well, except it goes through your amp meter first. You would NOT have 6 volts on the generator side of the cutout if it weren't running. Problems could be your cut-out, possibly your a...

Broken Band Washer
Retired like I am I enjoy spending time working on my T's as well as a Model A and more recently a 1940 Cadillac LaSalle. My brake pedal was a little low on my stock 1915 Model T so since I have a wooden band on there I thought that was a little odd. True enough they have been in there for 6 or 7 ye...
