Re: Flat towing a T

The gentlemen I bought my trailer from stated that prior to his getting the trailer, he used a tow bar with the T engine running. I don’t recommend it!

Re: Side curtains

Thanks, I was hoping to save the difference between the two. I haven’t been able to find anyone willing to sell less than a full set.

Side curtains

I lost the front side curtains for my 1919 touring, will the curtains for a 1919 roadster fit? Don’t leave curtains laying on a running board. Thanks

Re: Rear main cap removal advice

What about slotting the holes in the cap so the cap can move forward to reduce the end play. Ref. Ted Aschman’s “Tinkering Tips” volume 2, page 2

Re: Very dark day. Howard is gone.

I met Howard once on a tour near San Diego. I was admiring (7) in the parking lot of the host hotel when he said you look like you need a ride. Man did I get a ride ,in a wet parking lot with lots of painted stripes. He liked to turn left and I didn't put the seat belt on. The slow ride I was expect...

Re: OPS!! dropped a washer!

If your engine does not have a mag. plate you can get pretty good access by removing the inspection cover from the bottom of the oil pan. It's messy but it worked for me.

Re: Fuel pump

Consider installing a gasoline tank vent kit from one of the dealers. Route the vent line so that you can reach it while driving. A light puff into the vent line followed by putting your finger the end will get you up any steep hill as long as there is fuel in the tank. Cheap, simple, no actual modi...

Looks like some thing you would use on a "T" nearing the end of its life.

Re: Venting rear diff

I had a similar experience as Roy Stone. I saw a small bubble as I was removing the plug. Drilled the plug and installed a vent line that runs up to the frame. I also had thought of a vacum line when a rear axle seal started to leak but redoing the seal and lowering the fluid level has resolved that...

Re: Steering column support bracket

I have 2 "T's" with wooden firewalls that I have towed many miles on a single axel unsprung trailer. I can see the steering wheel in my rear view mirror. The wheel really moves around. I think when you are driving these cars your hand or hands on the wheel really dampens this motion. Both cars now t...
