I have a heater, it's called an Australian right hand drive.
The exhaust passes beneath the pedal slots and you have heat, whether you want it or not!

Balance beads!
I have wood spoked wheels with demountable rims, 30 x 3.5 with flaps. They all had wobble, wabble, wobble and wobble (there must be such a thing.)
Balance beads fixed them all.

Re: What Have You Done to Your Model T in February?
My handbrake quadrant on my 22 Touring RHD had worn out so much that the handbrake would not hold and neutral was very iffy. So, after much thought I decided that grinding out the rivet heads so close to the fuel tank and carby (it is a RHD) was not acceptable. I undid the running board bolts and pr...

Adrian, Thanks for that advice. I'm close to eighty but have a car stacker where I can get underneath. I have organised some "readers' because I cannot see with multifocal glasses. How do you replace a 4 hole handbrake quadrant. Does the running board and splash guard need to be removed, can you remove the splash guard without removing the touring body? Do you grind off the rivet heads, considering that there is gallons of fuel in close proximity and the fuel line and (leaking...

Re: California zero emission zones
The reality.
Here in Australia I charge my Tesla 3 at home at a cost of 1.1 cents per kilometre. Our state government charges me 2.8c/km tax on top of that.
The average passenger vehicle here down under costs 23c in fuel per kilometre, tax built in.
In addition, servicing is musc less.

Re: What's the Secret to a Quiet T?
1. Set the valve lash to 10 thou cold.
2. Nylon timing gear (no generator.)
3. Suremike balanced crankshaft
4. Tight manifold exhaust nut
5. Exhaust deflector.
I find that leaving the top down on a Touring also helps. My car is quiet.

Re: Sheared rear axle key
You may find that the key was removed at some stage to allow towing of the vehicle. With the key missing, the wheel will rotate on the axel and not drive the transmission drums against the bands. When I brought my first T, the vendors explained that the engine would run but the car just shook on the...

Downunder in Australia is is now Autumn (Fall) and the temperature was 32C (90F), perfect for driving a 22 Touring with the rag too down!
I've recently tuned the coils with Mike Kosser's ECCT, the car is now singing on magneto and just loves hills. The difference is amazing.

I have a 22 Canadian block with s SureMike crank.
I ground the journals and reinstalled it when I restored the engine some years ago. I'm running a 250 cam and a Z head with aluminium pistons.
I have had no problems, the engine is a good performer on hills and is quiet and reasonably vibration free.

The "springy doodads" are on the wrong side, when going forwards they should bring the differential grease towards the centre, not outwards onto the brake drums.

Hooray, it started.
Not first pull but after encouraging the fuel into the cylinders, it started raggedly and then settled down to a steady road!
I took it for a half hour drive and it ran without incident.
Thenk you all for your encouragement and advice.

Another question.
Will all "Crows Foot" wrenches reach the rear head bolts?
What adjustments do I need to make to the torque wrench setting to account for the greater wrench radius?

What is happening here. Ten months ago we were rallying without issue. However, I damaged my wrist and elbow and could not crank this non-starter 22 Touring RHD. In Australia we are coming into summer, the T driving season but I do not drive it at night. Our problem is not deer, it is kangaroos. Rich Eagle,
It is interesting to see your heater manifold for closed cars.
Here in Australia we drive RHD Model Ts with the pedal slots right over the exhaust.
So heating is not an option, it is compulsory!
