Re: Got to work on a T today

Looks like a Rootlieb kit to me. Speedsters are worth 7-12K for the most part. Use that as a start to determine value.

On this one, wheels add to value, as does the Ruckstel. Looks like a real nice paint job. Cannot see much else.

Looks like it was built on a platform. All you have to do is move the trunk and the gas tank back and you will fit fine. Speedsters are always a lot more fun than a coupe or touring.

Go to www.texastparts.com for wiring diagrams. They do not go as far back as a 1916, but you can look at the 1919-25 and see where most of your wires will be placed. I highly recommend a fuse and the diagram will show you where to place it.

Re: Blockley tire update

Flint may be abundant, but no one is willing to make flints for rifles anymore. Most of the skill is lost except for a few, so we have to ship it in from India. Same with tires. When was the last time anyone made tires in the US? The cost would be prohibitive. Labor is just too expensive over here. ...

Re: Blockley tire update

Quote from Blockley arrived today, 9/16/2025.

135 Pounds/tire x 2 tires = 270 Pounds

Total cost of 405 Pounds or $553. (I assume shipping is 135 Pounds)

I did not ask what the tariff would be. $120 for Dan a few days ago.

Wonder how long it will take before they turn the bids on. I highlighted a number of cars, but nothing coming through yet. What would be the normal time period, one week before the auction ends?

Re: COVID must have been spreading at OCFI came home with it

I recommend COVId and Flu shots in late Sept or Early Oct. This gets you thru Christmas and January, the top season. I was given dexametasone(a steroid) and a Duoneb treatment(breathing) to help with the coughing. Sent home with a Paxlovid($350 was my copay, and now I am living on the couch. No para...

Wonder if they will have minimunes, since nothinglisted yet.

COVID must have been spreading at OCF I came home with it

I came home with my cough and runny nose from OCF. It got worse with a fever and shortness of breath. You guessed it. Now I have an active case of COVID. If you present with one of those symptoms get yourself checked.

Re: Rear spring questions

I do just like Jeff Humble does with a 4x4. Need to raise the rear almost 2 feet. Since you are not removing the rear axle, just leave the wheels on. Put a 2x4 under each shackle so all stays solid. Knock out the shackles. That bushing driver from Langs works great.........The old bushings should co...

Peter

Just set an alarm on your phone for 3:15. No need to keep looking at your watch. I know I saw you driving some kind of car.

Seems like it just wasn't a good year this year, but I know we all had a great time at OCF with the perfect weather.

See you next year.

Steve lives in Kansas in the south side of the state close to Oklahoma. Pulling my car on a trailer took me 7 hours at about 63mph...........From Algoma you probably want to take the Badger over to Ludington.

No Tom. I sold my shop coat. I was on the top row and I have a beard that makes me look like Santa Claus. I had on a grey flannel shirt. I did not see Peter N, Marty, Ed, Rusty, or many others that usually show up.

I was there at 330 and I did not see anyone. The games were still going on. I left at 340 with the assumption it was not going to happen this year.

Besides, bleachers are hard to sit on for old people.

Steve Jelf and OCF

Unfortunately Steve did not make it this year.

His spot on the field for 1915 T's was empty.

He was mentioned in conversation at Greenfield Village.

We were all thinking of you Steve and know you were there in spirit

I was hit by a motorcycle many years ago. Could not hardly tell where the cycle hit the rear axle. Made a huge dent in that cycle wheel. Last year we rebuilt my motor and it was 0.058 out of line. I suggest you pull that engine and measure everything. I am sure there are enough people on this forum ...

I had a muffler like that with those ends. It was starting to rust so I tossed it and
installed a Stanley tractor muffler. It works great. They used to be $20, but are now
up to $58 or so.
