Re: Revitalizing Chickasha Pre-War swap meet

I would think moving the meet to a date where the weather would be better would help. Also adding a tour and other family friendly activities. Maybe a national MTFCA tour and meet. The homecoming in Richmond Indiana seems to do well. I always enjoy the homecoming.

Re: 13T - New Brassworks Radiator

Just to keep things on a level playing field. That $135 radiator in 1962 should cost in the neighborhood of $1850 today. This is based on an average hourly income in 1962 of $2.10 vs. and average hourly income in 2020 of $28.50. If you calculate the cost of the radiator today using inflation I am su...

Heat the tabs on the steering gear box. Let the tabs cool then pry the tabs just enough to get the spark or throttle rods out. To install heat the tabs and again let them cool. Replace the rods and gently tap the tabs closed over the rods. Brass will break or crack if you try to pry or tap the tabs ...

If I remember correctly you lost a freeze plug and dropped most if not all of your coolant on your way home from the OCF. I would suggest removing one of the pistons and checking the rings and bore of the cylinder. Maybe checking for cracks while you are in there. Keep us posted on your progress.

Bob, A rotary tool with a buffing wheel should get that radiator shining. I know you can get buffing rouge at harbor freight. Used to be able to get it at Sears but of course they are no more. It will take some time but once buffed a coat of good brass polish should remove small scratches. If I reca...
