That used to confuse me also. :?:

Finally I drew a picture on the garage wall so I didn't forget.
It helped me when I was at home but I couldn't take the garage with me on a trip.

A gas cap for a T?

That's not a fair trade.
The T is worth more than a gas cap.

If you wanted a gas cap for a Ugo it would be a different story

Re: I just spent an hour with newspaper people

I went to another car show this weekend with the T. It was the 350th anniversary of Kingston NH and around 300 cars showed up. They didn’t have classes but gave about 20 trophies for people’s choice. I couple people mentioned that they had seen the newspaper article with pictures and said that the c...

The newspaper published the article about the soon to be 100 year old Model T.
It is online so I’ll try to post a link when I am on my computer instead of my iPad.
In the meantime it can be found at the Exeter Newsletter Seacoast online web sight.
They got about 80% of the info correct

I just spent an hour with newspaper people

The local weekly newspaper learned the our T will be 100 years old on July 30 and wanted to do a story about it. They called me this morning and we setup an appointment at 2:30 today. I took the T out of the garage, gave them hard and electronic copies paper that gives all of its history with pictur...

Bottom line I was stupid but it worked out great. On Saturday I got the T ready for a Sunday car show in Amesbury Ma. I cleaned the trailer, cleaned the T, and loaded the T for quick getaway on Sunday morning. On Sat evening I checked the info on the Amesbury car show and learned that it was the nex...

Re: What a mess ... my garage with puddles of gas

I always turn the gas off on our T and A when they are put away. A few years ago I ran the T out of gas about a mile from home and called my wife to bring the lawnmower gas. After I poured it in the tank I noticed a big gas puddle under the car. The float had stuck. I jolted the carb with screwdrive...

I thought you were asking if I knew how much time I had left before I died. I can say is that I have less time than I had before I began reading this thread. On the other hand as many have said - it depends upon priorities, the things you enjoy doing, and how much money you have. Our T and A are par...

Re: LED brake light options

Most LEDs require 12 volts.
I put LED trailer lights on my Model A and T by using a 6 to 12 volt transformer.
LEDs are sensitive to the polarity so if you have a positive ground system you need to wire appropriately

Re: So tell me why I should buy a model T?

Real men drive Model T’s.
They are not ego sleds like most of the other vehicles.
As many have said you don’t just get in one and go —-
you have to actually drive it, think ahead (way ahead), and adjust things as you travel.

What everyone has said.
I attached a cord to the anti-high gear block so I could easily remove it.

I used to do parades but realized that they were hard on the T - especially if there were and hills, even small ones.

After finishing the work on my trailer I decided to check the T over, change the oil, grease all the fittings, check the air in the tires, etc. before starting it.
