Jim, Check the height of the front seat riser. From what I can tell the earlier bodies with a round gas tank have a 10" riser height; the later ones with an oval tank have a 9" riser. The hood shelves are the type used up till mid 23, indicating that it is a low radiator car and not a 24. The really nice looking bed appears to be Model A rather than T, to which Model T fenders have been adapted rather cleverly.

R V Anderson did mine. At the time there was a $20 core charge and he told me I could either send him my core, which would cost about $25 or pay the core charge. I didn't have to think about it too long.

When you figure it out, I think I have its twin. I assumed mine was 26-27 because is has the same handle and beading as 26-27 coupe. It's definitely not a 26-27 coupe or 28-29 pickup (which are the same door) because they are 29" wide at the beltline.

That looks like a Model A bed. Tip off: no bumpout for battery on left front of bed, and embossing on side panels is different than for a T.

George, I don't plan to carry it with me since the car starts fine with the crank when it is not cold. I have been playing with it more and it can raise the axle with only a 2' long 2x4 arm. This could be a cheap and easy way to take the load off your tires when the car is stored for the winter. Ralph

You nailed it Scott. He couldn't find a leak with the propane test, but he took the intake manifold off and found a misalignment with the gasket and reset it. It's running on all four now! I can't tell from the picture, but is your fan bracket straight like the 17-25 ones, or does it have a bend near the top? It should have the bend near the top for the brass radiator cars. Look in the Lang's catalog for a good picture of each.

Forgot to mention that we had done a compression test. 40psi on all cylinders wet and dry. Don't see how it could be timer since we have spark on all four. Idea of plugged intake manifold worth checking out.

The rear end and rear portion of the frame is definitely Ford TT, but the front of the frame is not. Maybe they welded a Ford and Dodge frame together in the middle of the car. The body looks like a cut down 26-27 Ford car body, not a Dodge.

Another thought. You could find a good running starter engine to replace your existing engine and keep the original engine in its unconverted state to sell to the next owner, hopefully far in the future.
