Re: noticed a difference(H V intake manifold)
Norman,
My engine is standard bore with cast iron pistons, I have a Z head and a exhaust header. My car is a speedster. I also use an electric fuel pump.

noticed a difference(H V intake manifold)
Just wanted to say that I noticed a difference in performance by switching my stock intake manifold to the High Volume intake manifold. I run a texas T modern carb. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Joseph, or Mark
Are the Baughman brake rods make installation and adjustment easier with the AC brakes? I have the Sidmore AC brakes waiting to go on a speedster project.

Re: Adjustable Two Piece Valve lifter Question
are your lifters adjustable? When I did mine which had non adjustable lifters of all the new valves, I only had to grind one stem to get the clearance. with adjustable lifters i wouldn't think you would have to grind any of the stems. if my thinking is not correct please I welcome the input.

Re: Rajo B valve seat question
I agree with Dan,
If you go lightly you can probably clean that seat enough to use it for a while. I didn't realize it was that thin between the valves, then again my budget at the moment doesn't allow for overhead toys.

Re: Srtomberg carb and Burns intake
My uncle ran a stromberg 97 with a stock head when he first built his speedster. he used #41 jets and it worked perfect. I am going to put a 97 on my next speedster, I have the manifold for it already, and a either a Sherman head or a Z head which I have both of.

is that a stromberg 97? That should work, just make sure you have it jetted right.

Carson,
Take John up on his offer, you will gain knowledge from a more experienced Model T'er. likely track down the issue faster. Just my two cents.

Wayne,
Thank you so much for the insight. Might have to put a can of freeze into the tool box for next year. I don't trust it not to do that again in hot weather, and don't want to finish run on a trailer again.

Hi everyone, My uncle's speedster has a Bosch high tension magneto on it, back in june we were on the SCVMTFC endurance run and broke down cause the car started missing, which we thought fouled plug. After checking plus on side of road, the car would not start. Quick check revealed weak spark from t...
