I disagree your rods look nearly new.
Your second picture shoes an oversized rod fit tight on an undersized journal heat caused the smear.

Original block bored 40 over aluminum pistons Stipe 290 cam,Manley SBF RACE FLO 11575 valves. Aluminum intake, ported 27 NH carb.

Had to get the scales out. The stock Ford rods I weighed were 14—15 oz.

Wayne the k had 6 coils used with a timer & battery 1 &2 , The Holly huff magneto was a CDI, and could also be switched to a battery-destributer, using A seventh master coil for CDI or destributer. The coil box has 8 positions one held the capacitor for the CDI.
