I agree with John. A new and old on one side will stand out and have an odd look.
Other options might be to sand the old ones and finish all to look alike. OR, distress the new ones to look like the old ones.
Good Luck on your project!

Re: Why no braking in reverse with Rocky Mtn brakes?
Rocky Mountain brakes are BAND brakes around the parking brake drum. IF the band is mounted one way, it will grab hard in one direction, let's say forward. If it's mounted the opposite way, it will grab in Reverse. If it's mounted half way, you'll get half braking in both directions. The originals w...

Re: Options/Help How to window glass oval frame
Yes It IS. My wife and I purchased my late best friends two favorite trucks. I helped with parts and labor on the C-Cab. I turned him on to Courier when he wanted to build another truck. I helped unbox the body, set the floor, firewall and one side. When we purchased it, he had it at about 95% and I...

Re: Options/Help How to window glass oval frame
Hi Mike, I have a TT C-cab with a small oval window in the back panel. Haven't been able to find the correct size ring. I know they are out there, I just have landed one yet. The Delivery truck has rectangular windows but I was thinking of mounting them the same as an oval. 1927 Delivery Truck Back....

MIke, I am faced with a similar situation. I have a plan with taking the oval frame and mounting it to the door with oval head bolts and nuts, with the nuts on the inside. Once I am satisfied with the mounting, I will remove the frame. From the inside of the rabbet, gasket material of appropriate th...

Bob, That's NOT what I have on my '25 C-Cab. Wish I could have been of more help. I did look in some of the Parts and found: Plate (Door Locke Striker). The numbers did not seem to match. "25 Most all models used the same striker including the TT.

Re: How do I remove the Cut Out Foot Pedal?
While I have never worked on this specific style of pedal, I will venture a procedure. Pull the cotter pin out of the bottom of the pedal shaft. This may or may not let the shaft slide upwards out of the housing. Next, the portion of the pedal below the floor board is most likely threaded into the p...

Mike,
Living on the Western Slope, I hope you have better luck with the VIN inspection. My VIN inspection turned out to be a Safety inspection. Once you get the VIN, I think you will be OK. I haven't had any trouble at all with the paperwork. Maybe it's just the office we use.
Good Luck,
Terry

The correct term is: "Two Blocked". In the old days, hoisting cranes had two sheave blocks for hoisting. One had a hook or ring on the bottom. I would NOT recommend Helicoil inserts on an aluminum hogs head. The reason: When the Helicoil is inserted, the last step is to break off the tang on the bottom of the Helicoil. Being as the Helicoil is steel, there is a huge chance of dropping that tang into the engine/transmission. A much better o...

If you are unable to salvage the threads, I suggest using a Time-sert or Key-lock insert instead of a helicoil. While helicoils are good for use in steel or iron, they may not be the best in aluminum. Time-serts are a fully threaded "bushing" type of insert and will provide a better thread engagemen...
