I use these to protect the painted rims while using tire irons. Install the tire and tube as One Unit, starting at the valve stem and working away from the stem. The tube should have enough air in it to prevent tube twist or pinch. https://www.2040-parts.com/motion-pro-wheel-rim-shield-ii-motorcycle...

To be clear, the 2 pedal, 2 lever cars had a water pump. The hand crank will rest in the up or down position as there is a detent which holds the lever in these two positions. #394 is in our MTFCA museum as an example.

Re: Waterless Radiator Coolant
I checked the top water temp with a meat thermometer and the readings are correct. I'm at 280 plus. Seeing as it takes 6 months to get a new radiator, I do have a new 1910 radiator that I won't be using anytime soon. I think I will drain the system and see if that radiator will work while I wait for...

Re: Waterless Radiator Coolant
I appreciate all of the input regarding Waterless Coolant. Upon your suggestion, I ran the car for several hours today. Here is what I found. 280° front cylinder 300° rear cylinder 280° head 280° top of radiator 200° oil pan 100° bottom of radiator and lower pipe These temps are with the timer set i...

Re: Engine splash pans causing boiling over?
Read my post about Evans Waterless Coolant. My car is also a 1913 with a brand new engine. It was overheating just like yours is. I now have 3 days of driving on the new engine and have used about 2 tanks of gas. The Evans Waterless Coolant solved my problem! No more overheating and no more coolant ...

Waterless Radiator Coolant
I just completed my first tour today using Evans Waterless Coolant in the radiator of my 1913 Touring T. It was an 80 plus degree day here in Indiana and we traveled well over 60 miles. The Moto Meter gauge never rose above the bottom of the circle. I believe this is due to several factors. First th...

Broken Crank Club
Well it finally happened to me. During the Thursday tour at the MTFCA, I broke a crank on my 24 Depot Hack. We were on the return trip from the Carillon Historical Park and about 10 miles from the MTFCA Museum when it happened. A loud knocking from the engine and we pulled over. A few minutes later,...

Re: IRS and $600
Someone should let Ticketmaster know that this rule has been suspended. I just sold 2 season tickets for the Monday night Colts game. After the sale was completed they sent me an email saying in order for me to receive the funds from them, I would need to complete their IRS form, including my SSN. T...

Re: Tony Wiltshire
Tony and Susan are close friends of ours. He was instrumental in getting me to join the Indy 500 club several years ago.
Tony was a great person, always there with a helping hand, unselfish, and possessed a vast knowledge. He will be greatly missed.
Rest in peace Tony.

Re: 12 Volt Geared Starter
I have two of these starters and they work great. No you do not need to reverse your ring gear. The gear on the starter has the correct angle to engage the ring gear. I highly recommend this WASP starter.

Re: Using modern part replacements
I highly recommend the I Timer. I put one on my 24 Depot Hack after this summer's Home Coming. The advantage is that it acts exactly as a regular timer, requiring the mechanical adjustment of the advancer on the steering column. It does not ever require cleaning or replacement parts. I did purchase ...
