Re: Sure-Stop Disc Brake Installation
On my 26 Tudor I placed it high on the drivers side of the firewall in the engine compartment close to the outer edge. Be sure it is low enough that the hood clears. The reservoir must be higher than the master cylinder. Brake pedal to master is pretty straight forward. I did fill the system from t...

Could it really be that in over a century, nobody has come out with a timer that does not create a need for next year's new-and-improved model? [/I] The answer, yes. Have been running this timer for 4 years, never a peek at the insides, flawless performance, never a miss. ;) IMG_3978 (1024x768).jpg...

Have you tried the horn with the rear cover off ? If it works you are tightening the screws to tight. Do you know there’s a adjustment screw behind the cover

Do you have another oil pan ? You can bolt up your torque tube and wish bone. That’s what I did it worked out great for moving the T around.

John, did you install the felt seal and cup washer? If not that would account for about 3/16" play. Yes I did. But I think you should be able see it. I didn’t look with a flashlight yet, should you be able to see cup washer? Later lm going to check the adjustment nut just to make sure it didn’t loo...

Re: 27 fan pulley
Before you take it off. Have you tried tightening the thru bolt first? Also look at your fan belt, is one edge more worn then the other indicating something is out of alignment. Could be that if the belt is too tight it is pulling the pulley in one direction wearing the bushing flange faster then i...

The fan pulley has about 3/16th in and out play on it. I just rebuilt it last winter with all new and fitted parts. I would like to remove it to find out what’s going on. Re: 26-27 Brakes
I just finished replacing the brake shoes on the 27 and they did have some drag in them. What I did was set the emergency brake tight and let it sit overnight and I did reduce the drag quite a bit. Once I get some miles on them I think they will seat in. So try that.

Lang's sells a brake riveting tool. https://www.modeltford.com/item/2566RVTL.aspx This tool includes a counter sink so that the expanded end of the tube rivets sit below the lining. I used this set up on my linings and it works great. Trick is to not countersink too deep. Perhaps using a drill pres...
