Have you tried the horn with the rear cover off ? If it works you are tightening the screws to tight. Do you know there’s a adjustment screw behind the cover

I wish I could have been at Ford factory to watch the cotter pin man bend those dam pins!! It’s been years and I’m still fighting with cotter pins. Especially removing them. Can anyone sheer any tips? On installing and removing.

Do you have another oil pan ? You can bolt up your torque tube and wish bone. That’s what I did it worked out great for moving the T around.

Before you take it off. Have you tried tightening the thru bolt first? Also look at your fan belt, is one edge more worn then the other indicating something is out of alignment. Could be that if the belt is too tight it is pulling the pulley in one direction wearing the bushing flange faster then i...

I have no explanation on what happened here. I was driving along and I heard click,click and then BANG !! Towed it home opened the transmission cover and wow! It even broke the pinion gear.

I just finished replacing the brake shoes on the 27 and they did have some drag in them. What I did was set the emergency brake tight and let it sit overnight and I did reduce the drag quite a bit. Once I get some miles on them I think they will seat in. So try that.
