Re: SOLD: Stromberg LF - really cheap ZOOM

My LF was in great shape. Just needed a cleaning. Doesn’t start had easy as the G did, but pulls way stronger. I don’t have the Stromberg remote choke set up for it yet. Cory Walker did my G. Maybe he would give the LF a try.

Coker White 30x 3 1/2 tires

These have been in storage in my garage for 10 years. I don’t want to sell and ship due to the fact I’m not sure of there condition. Would trade for some decent 30 x 3’s if someone wants to come look at them. I’m in Western Massachusetts. E7F17136-132F-4C02-9B28-2EBA8FEE05A3.jpeg C8844323-1507-4416-...

Re: Rear axle update

Rearend completed. Crawled under this afternoon to make sure everything was tight, cotter pinned, and safety wired. Fired her up and went for some short test ride. What a difference. This being my only T and never driven another I didn’t know they could ride this smooth and quiet. New brake cams and...

Re: Hub and tire alignment

Ill switch the top one and see if they match.

Just looked again. Only can be assembled one way. Both rims and hubs look to be original to the car. After 105 years who can be sure.

Hub and tire alignment

I assembled my hubs back on the wheels the way they came off. On one, the outside of the hub is aligned with the edge of the tire with a straight edge. The other a 1/2” away. Should I switch the hub around? Which one?

Re: Painting springs

Update. Cleaned up the cross member last night. Only bits a pieces of the old leather spring pad left, just on passenger side. No wonder body always leaned to the left. Going to install new pad and spring assembly today.

I am making one of these today.
If I don’t have the right spring bolt, can I installed it thread up so it goes through the hole in the pad and frame?

Painting springs

Rear springs are all disassembled, wired brushed, rough areas sanded, and cleaned. Can of Spray slip plate will arrive tomorrow. I am only going to spray the surfaces that mate together. How much do I put on? One light coat? How long do I wait before assembly? A side note, when I disassembled the sp...

Re: Rear axle update

Didn’t get to final assembly until this afternoon. All went well and I’m very pleased with the results so far. The axle and drive shaft were with in a 1/16 inch of perpendicular with out the radius rods tighten after bolting everything else up tight. Might be reinstalled within a few days for a test...

Could only find 26-40-7 from any local venders. Found these on eBay. They are discontinued. If they work I’ll find another set to have on hand.

Pinion Bearing question

I have the drive shaft ready for assembly. Before I do final assembly a question, the bearings sleeve is 3 1/16 but my bearing is only 2 7/8. 3/16 of play on the sleeve is correct. Don’t want to start tightening things up and set end play in not.

Re: WTB rear axle

WTB from anywhere.
I mostly need left and right differential housings. Thrust washer pins were sheared off and ground down the housings and axle holes are very worn.

WTB rear axle

I’m in need of a good rebuildable rear axle assembly or one that is already rebuilt for my small drum 15. I’m in Western Ma. So within 200 miles preferred. I mostly need left and right differential housings. Thrust washer pins were sheared off and ground down the housings and axle holes are very worn.
