Re: Unique swivel and fiber gear - ID requested
Andy, The short answer is no. The Stewart Model 100 would use a 2.5:1 swivel. The drive you show is a direct drive 1:1 ratio. Also, a 58T gear is used on a 21" tire. I hope this helps, Russ Furstnow Russ, again, thank you very very much. I really appreciate your being willing to share your knowledg...

The "direct drive" was used with speedometers that run 2008 rpms at 60 mph. These speedometers include Van Sicklin, Warner, Jones, Johns-Manville, Sears Cross, Standard Thermometer and early Stewart and Clark. I suspect this drive was used on a Van Sicklin, but have no proof without studying the un...

Unique swivel and fiber gear - ID requested
I came across a photo of this swivel and fiber gear. The bracket looks like 1915 or so, but the strait drive swivel and large fiber gear are throwing me off. Is this model T hardware or for another automobile of similar vintage? Just curious to see what the experts say. Thank you in advance!

This is the model T based trailer that will put all other vintage trailers to shame. Solidly built, easy to dump, and still useful today! The shade tree engineering here is not easily matched. Built sometime in the past, recently gone through so that it lasts long into the future. Frame: A pinched T...

I'm writing this post in an effort to assist a man who is asking on the MTFCA Facebook page. Seems his neighbor might have a 1911/12 body up in the attic. Is there an advantage of having a steel deck instead of wood? Check Here: @ https://hershey.aaca.com/eastern-division-fall-meet/event-schedule/ FJ As FJ has indicated, the Hershey Region of the AACA's Fall Meet website is the ONLY place to find the correct information on the show, dates and times. With the changes the last few years, there is a lot of mis-inf...

Have this axle with a longer leaf spring, 20230115_074637.jpganyone seen this before? Shelby, on closer examination, the casting in your photos appears to be the same as the ones on my car. See this link to a post I made about my perches, same "FT" casting number. https://www.mtfca.com/phpBB3/viewt...

Re: Model t accessory spring perches
I have a similar spring set up on my cut-down 1915 touring car. Being that it is a 1915 front end, the accessory spring perches & longer leaves are joined by two bungs that go in the old spring perch holes. These bungs provide a spot for the wishbone to mount UNDER the front axle, correcting the geo...

Kohler Kustoms in Pennsylvania does. I've met Andy via the central PA hotrod scene and he's a rodder thru and thru and a nice guy. Thank you! I can thank my dad for that. He pulled out several of these bolts from his bolt bin and matched them up with square nuts and lock washers. All of similar vintage. The hope is that none ever know it was a 2022 addition!

Re: Mounted a spare tire carrier on my RPU
Great find Andrew. It matches your pickup nicely. Had I found it, I'd have shifted the mounting requiring drilling holes in the fender, so I could pick up the running board bolts. I hate drilling Ford parts. Allan from down under. Thanks! I agree it fits nicely. If you look carefully you will see t...

Mounted a spare tire carrier on my RPU
A Hershey car show find... some period correct fasteners from dad's bolt bin and a warm November afternoon and now the T has a spare tire carrier! Always wanted one, wasn't looking for one, but stumbled on it the first day of Hershey, so I got it. So glad I did. Looks like it was always on the car. ...

WTB 1915/1916 Flat 'Crown' Rear Fenders
Wanted to buy 1915/1916 Flat top rear fenders to be placed on an early 1916 touring. Cars history known back to the 1930s and it originally had flat "CROWN" fenders... still curved, but without the cross-radius crown of the 1916 and later fenders. Original paint preferred. Re: Hershey Pictures????
the 1911 mercer is owned by Fred Houck.. He has a knack of making all of his cars appear as "barn find". It was restored about ten years ago as a perfect car, then the judges told him it was not a real car but a made up one. so the next year he brought it back to the show de-restored as you see it ...
