Transmission safety wire
Helping a friend with a nice TT truck. Doing primary inspection noticed someone in remote past safety wired transmission with stranded copper. Well it probably long ago broke and was hanging loose. Pulled it out with my fingers. Has anyone tried putting the safety wire in through the trans door. Loo...

Re: New Tool
Maybe a vendor forum dedicated to advertising and promoting vendor products would make it easier to find tools, equipment and parts. Infomercials in my opinion don’t belong on the discussion forum but in a dedicated advertising forum would be helpful to those seeking those parts and or tools.

Re: BRAKE EQUALIZER
I did not find the directions very helpful installing and setting up the brakes. Finally I put the rear end up on jack stands, took the wheel off, removed the key, put the wheel back on and set the hand brake to where I could not rotate the wheel (locked up), but could freely rotate the wheel with t...

Re: Muffler mounting.
Found that wrapping a wire around the tail pipe just in front of muffler up over the frame holds the font of the muffler up and allows the tail pipe to move without coming out. No need for a clamp.

Re: Differential oil leak
Have had to work until today. Took John’s advice and used the Permatex Gear Oil RTV. Was able to push a small Shem in the one inch space that leaked then covered with the Gear Oil RTV. No more leak!

Differential oil leak
Just finished rebuilding Ruckstell axel. Assembled using Ultra Black as a sealer between the two halves. Finished and installed in car. Now I have a nasty oil leak at the bottom of the housing from where the two halves join. I can see it oozing about an inch or so along the bottom of the housing. Wh...
