I am debating replacing the rear tires on my TT truck and would like to address the issue of a couple of broken lugs. There are two partially missing lugs on each rear rim. I have not attempted removing the rims in that there is no immediate need to do so. They are essentially broken off at the top...

If you are converting to a 1918 T, I would think an after market wood bed would be appropriate. You could make one if you can find a good machine shop to manufacture the hardware, find the hardware and make the bed, or buy a complete bed from one of the vendors, or try your luck finding an old wood...

Did some looking around this morning. Since oil doesn't run up, it has to run down. Looks like the screws affixing the transmission inspection cover were loose, particularly the corner where the offending oil drip was coming. Pesky oil leaks

I'm addressing several pesky oil leaks. One in particular is on the right, near rear side of the hogs head. Short of pulling it and replacing with a new gasket, what should I use in terms of a sealant? Many thanks for any reply.

A great October so far:
Rebuilt my brake/speed shifter;
New sockets and fittings for my lights;
Installed a new timer and related wire harness;
Rebuilt my coil box.

Next up, new rear fenders for the TT. Will discuss plans with my metal shop guy soon.

Though poking around the coil box made me realize that some new hardware should be in the offing, after I get done with the pawl installation on the emergency brake.

What was the purpose of the split rim when it was introduced? Was it to accommodate the balloon tire?
