Re: Question re 1912 top straps
I am not sure when the change in top straps occurred, but I suspect it coincided with the change to the one piece firewall. The straps to the fender irons were obviously designed that way due to early windshield-less Model Ts. As firewall extensions and windshields were added they still continued to...

There is a nut on the bottom side. If you take the font and burner out you should be able to look up the inside of the chimney and see it/access it with a socket and extension.

Re: Anyone with a speedster and a Ruckstell and hand brake on the left outboard off the body?
Well, I have not built this set-up but I have thought about it. It uses a factory parking brake shaft extended to the outside of the speedster body. A tube with a handle welded on slides over the extended section of the parking brake shaft. The factory emergency brake handle then goes on. For a spee...

Re: Ball Bearing Fan Hub & New Fan for '19?
The later aluminum pulley with sealed bearings and the accompanying fan blade will not fit with a brass 14 radiator without trimming the fan blades down. I have a ball bearing brass fan pulley with riveted blades on my 15 and am very happy with it. I would go that route over trimming the blades, but...

Re: Mother Lode Swap Meet
It was nice to see such a good turnout at this year’s swap meet. As others have already mentioned, there was a lot of rare early Model T parts as well as the more common Model T parts. Jay had a nice assortment of Model T accessories as he always does. I saw one family purchase a boat tail speedster...

Re: 1915 Door and kick panels
Thanks for the responses. The photos in the link Mark posted have good detail on the tacks and trim. The 1915 door latch is a little different than the later one shown in the pictures Mark posted. The movement of the handle I think is less on the 1915 and so I am wondering if the hole is a different...

1915 Door and kick panels
Does anyone have any good detailed photos of either original or correctly reproduced 1915 roadster door and kick panel? I am considering redoing mine and would like to be as accurate as possible. I found this photo online of what looks like an original, but would like a little more detail if anyone ...

Re: Tulare swap meet Bill Bennett
It was a great meet. A lot of T stuff, including hard to find early parts and much of it at very reasonable prices. My Dad and I enjoyed the trip and will definitely be back for the next one. Thank you Bill for all your hard work organizing the event.

Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Tasty Ts
Our local club runs a manifold cooking tour every year. It is one of my favorite tours. It’s always interesting to see what people are cooking and the success and learning experiences. I made my manifold cooker from two bread pans and a couple of homemade brackets. It works pretty well, but I tend t...

I also noticed the square looking top sockets, however, I think they may be round with the light hitting them just right to make them appear square. I would say the car is a 15 or 16. You can see it has no dash, but it does have a cowl. You can just barely see the 1913-16 cross reinforcing bead on t...

Re: May need pedal extensions
That is a “go big or go home” bow in the girls hair. Nice picture. I think it says something about how proud these families were of their Model Ts that they include them in family photos. Even with the convenience of today’s cameras, I don’t think many of today’s families take the time to include th...

Original pan support brackets are pretty easy to come by but you can also buy them new.
