Re: Speedometer installation problem
That was the issue, just painted on there pretty good. A nice tap in the clamp freed it up.

Speedometer installation problem
The mounting bracket isn’t squared up to spindle arm. I don’t think the clamp on the mount is movable. I believe it’s welded in place. I haven’t tried moving it for fear of breaking it. Anyone?

I put felt tape along the sides of the floorboards. They used to squeal and rattle like crazy. Now it’s super quiet in the car.

I can't find much on this painting of Henry. History, worth, availability? Anyone have any info? I have a large framed wall painting...not a poster...maybe 3ft by 5 feet.

How steep is too steep?
Coming back from a tour today...I had less than 2 gallons in my 23 oval tank. Was going up a fairly steep drive...slowly. It was about 250 yards long. It leveled out for about 100 yards and then all of a sudden the car quit. Ran flawlessly for about 70 miles today. I checked the fuel, got back in an...

Side Mirror Options
I currently have a chrome clamp on mirror for my 23 roadster, but it constantly scratches up the windshield post. I thought about getting one that screwed to the post but I'm afraid if it's bumped, it'll damage the post. I guess I could live with the clamp mirror but I can't stomach the chrome and t...

Re: Ford trimotor sign
Thanks all! I actually flew on this plane in the early 70s from Put-in-Bay. That's why I wanted this sign so bad. I'm pretty sure it's not a period piece and my guess is it was made in the past few decades maybe sooner. I'm wondering if they made these at all for advertisement. Regardless...it has g...

Anyone know the history behind this sign? Found several on eBay, looks like 3 different sizes and colors. What year were they made? It's porcelain and has some wear.

Trailer damage?
Dumb Bass me forgot to raise the wheel on my trailer as I was hauling my Polaris ATV. As I pulled onto the road, I thought it was riding a little rough. As I looked in the mirror, I noticed the trailer moving from side to side. It had popped off the ball and was held on by the safety chains. I had t...

LED brake light options
Looking for a very discrete option for brake lights. Ideally, I'd have a strip of LED, 3 inches on each side, adhesive attachment. I found some on Amazon but most had very thin guage wire and didn't hold up over time. Does anyone have something that fits the bill...care to share pics and manufacturer?

Novice question, but how do you tighten up the nut and have the washer follow so the notches line up? I tighten the nut but the washer stays put. ???

I was thinking the same thing. How do the officers even know what 5 mph looks like without being familiar with some type of instrument to measure it.RustyFords wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 7:02 amI wonder how the police officer was able to discern between 8 and 12 mph.

Brake band noob question
So I've been driving a T now for about 4 years and I don't know anything but mine. I don't know if my brake pedal feels good or not, or if I need to adjust the band or not. How do you know? Should the pedal position be the clue, or is how it feels more important? Seems to brake ok, but I tend to put...
