Re: Is a 1911 Built With Many NonOriginal Parts Worthy of Being Here?
You really have a beautiful looking 1911 T. I have a 1912 T, shamefully painted red (apparently) with brass step plates, added 'Ford' script on the radiator, fake dust covers for rubber stemmed inner tubes, outside oil line kit, new day timer, and an oil sight gauge. I'm starting to feel bad about m...

Re: Examples of early pinstriping needed
The first area that I need to address is the pinstriping on the hoods. I have not seen evidence of each hood panel being boxed out with pinstriping. This was also addressed in the second link under 1912 in my original post above. Below are photos of a 1911 and a 1912 that show the hood stripes fair...

Re: Examples of early pinstriping needed
Here are some original pictures...mostly of 1912's. I find on some restorations the pin striping is wider than original pictures suggest. Too wide of stripes and they look a little like circus vehicles. Non perfect hand painted stripes look authentic. Image 4.jpeg Image 3.jpeg Image 2.jpeg Image 1....

P.S. - your front retaining strap attaching points are incorrect - they should come off the front bow a bit farther up. My top straps are correctly placed, unique and of a style not known by many. A footman loop holds the strap in place. They are a leather wrapped cable rather than the normal leath...
